Taintrux

The Pierre de Laitre, or Pierre de l'Aître is a stone at 624 metres (2,047 ft) above sea level that forms the summit of a wooded sandstone mountain of the same name in the Kemberg massif to the north of the town of Taintrux, in the canton of Saint-Dié, department of Vosges. The mountain overlooks the old cemetery, or l'aître of Taintrux, from which the stone and the mountain take their name.

The Arboretum du col du Haut-Jacques is an arboretum located in the Col du Haut-Jacques northeast of Bruyères, Vosges, Grand Est, France. It is open daily without charge. The arboretum was created in 1962 by the Office National des Forêts (ONF) to collect and conserve indigenous and introduced species representative of the Vosges Mountains. It contains both conifers and deciduous trees, and now also displays herbaceous plants of the region.

The canton of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges-1 is an administrative division of the Vosges department, in northeastern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. It consists of the following communes:

Saint-Dié-des-Vosges station is a railway station serving the town Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, Vosges department, northeastern France. It is situated at the junction of three railway lines: towards Strasbourg, Arches and Lunéville. The station is served by TGV inOui towards Nancy and Paris, and by regional trains towards Strasbourg, Épinal and Nancy.

Saint-Dié-des-Vosges (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ dje de voʒ] ; German: Sankt Didel, before 1999: Saint-Dié) is a commune in the Vosges department, Grand Est, northeastern France. It is a sub-prefecture of the department.

The arrondissement of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges is an arrondissement of France in the Vosges department in the Grand Est région. It has 116 communes. Its population is 102,238 (2021), and its area is 1,373.0 km2 (530.1 sq mi).

The Canton of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges-Est is a French former administrative and electoral grouping of communes in the Vosges département of eastern France and in the region of Lorraine. It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. It consisted of 16 communes, which joined the canton of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges-2 in 2015. It had 19,795 inhabitants (2012). One of 9 cantons in the Arrondissement of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, the Canton of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges-Est had its administrative centre at Saint-Dié-des-Vosges.

The Communauté d'agglomération de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges is an administrative association of communes in the Vosges and Meurthe-et-Moselle departments of eastern France. It was created on 1 January 2017 by the merger of the former Communauté de communes de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, Communauté de communes de la Vallée de la Plaine, Communauté de communes des Hauts Champs, Communauté de communes du Pays des Abbayes, Communauté de communes du Val de Neuné and Communauté de communes de la Fave, Meurthe, Galilée. On 1 January 2018 it gained 3 communes from the Communauté de communes Bruyères - Vallons des Vosges. It consists of 77 communes, and has its administrative offices at Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. Its area is 979.9 km2. Its population was 74,926 in 2018, of which 19,724 in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges proper.

Saint-Dié Cathedral (French: Cathédrale Saint-Dié de Saint-Dié-des-Vosges) is a Roman Catholic church and monument historique of France, located in the town of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges in Lorraine. The cathedral, formerly a collegiate church, is dedicated to Saint Deodatus of Nevers. Since 1777 it has been the seat of the Bishop of Saint-Dié.

The Musée Pierre-Noël is an art and history museum located in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. Designated as a Museum of France, it is named after Pierre Noël, the mayor of the city from 1965 to 1977. An inscription engraved on the modern part of the building recalls its original purpose, "museum of life in the High Vosges," but the collections now also feature a significant focus on contemporary art.

The Claude and Duval factory (French: Usine Claude et Duval), is a factory located in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges, in the department of Vosges in France. The building is the only industrial building designed by Le Corbusier. In 2016, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage along with sixteen other works by Le Corbusier, because of its outstanding contribution to the development of modern architecture. In 2014, the company had 80 employees.
