Pontcharra-sur-Turdine

Vindry-sur-Turdine (French pronunciation: [vɛ̃dʁi syʁ tyʁdin]) is a commune in the Rhône department in eastern France. It was established on 1 January 2019 by merger of the former communes of Pontcharra-sur-Turdine (the seat), Dareizé, Les Olmes and Saint-Loup.

Saint-Loup (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ lu]) is a former commune in the Rhône department in eastern France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune Vindry-sur-Turdine.

The silk-weaving company was founded in 1843, and the buildings, designed by architect Eugène-Toussaint Cateland, were completed in 1860. They were abandoned in 1939, in the midst of World War II. It has been listed as an official historical monument since October 29, 1987.
