Bethlehem Baptist Church is a historic National Baptist church located at 1402 E. Adams Street in Phoenix, Arizona. The church was built circa 1920 and has been active continuously since its opening. The church was designed in the Colonial Revival style. The building's design includes a symmetrical facade, a gable roof with a boxed cornice, and a Greek Revival style entrance featuring a triangular pediment supported by Doric columns.The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Reconstructed in 2004 to its current setup, the interchange, which is the busiest in the state of Arizona with over 300,000 vehicles per day, provides full directional access between the three freeways, as well as HOV lane connections for southbound SR 51 to eastbound I-10, westbound I-10 to northbound SR 51, westbound Loop 202 to westbound I-10, and eastbound I-10 to eastbound Loop 202.

Golden Gate Barrio was a historic Mexican-American neighborhood in the Eastside of Phoenix, Arizona. The neighborhood was razed due to eminent domain for the expansion of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in the 1970s and 1990s through the West Approach Land Acquisition Project.In 1953 Father Albert Braun helped found Sacred Heart Church in neighborhood. Sacred Heart Church is the only remaining structure in the neighborhood located at 920 S. 17th Street in Phoenix. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 20, 2012. Since 1986, its doors open once per year for Christmas Mass to the former neighborhood residents.

The Calderon Ballroom was a music venue at 1610 E. Buckeye Road in Phoenix, Arizona. It was one of the most popular dance halls in the state in the 1950s and 1960s, hosting the region's top Mexican and Latin bands. During its heyday, some of the top R&B acts performed at the Calderon Ballroom. It was a stop on the "Chitlin' Circuit," a selection of venues considered safe and acceptable for African-American entertainers in the era of racial segregation in the United States.

It is Arizona's largest and busiest airport, and among the largest commercial airports in the United States; in 2021, PHX was the 8th-busiest airport in the United States and 11th-busiest in the world. The airport serves as a hub for American Airlines and a base for Southwest Airlines. American (including American Eagle operated by Skywest and Mesa) serve more passengers from PHX than any other carrier .The airport is also home to the 161st Air Refueling Wing (161 ARW), an Air Mobility Command (AMC)–gained unit of the Arizona Air National Guard. The military enclave is known as the Goldwater Air National Guard Base. One of two flying units in the Arizona ANG, the 161 ARW currently flies the KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft. In addition to its domestic role as a National Guard unit, answering to the Governor of Arizona, the 161 ARW also performs both a stateside and overseas role as a USAF organization, supporting air refueling and air mobility missions worldwide.

The Phoenix freeway shootings, also known as the I-10 shootings, were a series of eleven incidents that occurred between August 27 and September 10, 2015, along Interstate 10 and State Route 202 in Phoenix, Arizona. Each incident resulted in projectile damage to cars, and one girl was injured. A suspect was arrested on September 18, but charges against him were dropped in April 2016.

Garfield Methodist Church is a historic church at 1302 E. Roosevelt Street in Phoenix, Arizona. It was built in 1926 in a Mission/Spanish Revival style. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. It is currently home to Aim Right Ministries. The church is a two-story 80 by 40 feet (24 m × 12 m) building designed by local architect Vere Wallingford. It is built of wire-cut bricks, with a gable roof, on a concrete foundation. It has a two-story corner entry vestibule resembling a bell tower.

12th Street/Jefferson station and 12th Street/Washington station, also collectively known as Eastlake Park, is a pair of light rail stations on Valley Metro Rail in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. It is the fourteenth stop westbound and the fifteenth stop eastbound on the initial 20-mile (32 km) starter line. This station is split between two platforms, the westbound platform which is located on Washington Street at 12th Street and the eastbound platform located on Jefferson Street at 12th Street, approximately 500 feet (150 m) apart from one another.

Goldwater Air National Guard Base, formerly Sky Harbor Air National Guard Base, is a facility of the United States Air National Guard that exists adjacent to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. It was built as the result of a 99-year lease in 1949, and was rebuilt in the 1990s to accommodate the creation of a third runway at the airport.On December 9, 2016, the Phoenix Sky Harbor Air National Guard Base was renamed Goldwater Air National Guard Base in honor of former United States Senator from Arizona and former Arizona Air National Guard member, Barry Goldwater.The Arizona Air National Guard's 161st Air Refueling Wing is based at Goldwater Air National Guard Base.
