J. J. Pearce High School is a high school located in Richardson, Texas, United States. It is named after Joseph Jones “J.J.” Pearce, the superintendent for the Richardson Independent School District (RISD) from 1946 to 1977. In 2018, it had an enrollment of 2,323 and a student-teacher ratio of 14.5:1.

The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD or UT Dallas) is a public research university in Richardson, Texas. It is one of the largest public universities in the Dallas area and the northernmost institution of the University of Texas system. It was initially founded in 1961 as a private research arm of Texas Instruments. The young university has been characterized by rapid growth in research output and its competitive undergraduate admissions policies since its inception. Less than 47 years after its founding, the Carnegie Foundation had classified the university as a doctoral research university with "Highest Research Activity"—faster than any other school in Texas. The university is associated with four Nobel Prizes and has members of the National Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Engineering on its faculty with the most notable research projects including the areas of Space Science, Bioengineering, Cybersecurity, Nanotechnology, and Behavioral and Brain Sciences. UT Dallas offers more than 140 academic programs across its seven schools and hosts more than 50 research centers and institutes. While the main campus is officially under the city jurisdiction of Richardson, one-third of it is within the borders of Dallas County. UTD also operates several locations in downtown Dallas - this includes the Crow Museum of Asian Art in the Arts District as well as multiple buildings in the Medical District next to UT Southwestern: the Center for BrainHealth and the Callier Center for Communication Disorders.

The UTD/Synergy Park station is a future train station along the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Silver Line. The station will be located near Rutford Avenue at the north end of the University of Texas at Dallas campus in Richardson, Texas.The station will serve the University of Texas at Dallas campus and Synergy Park.

Jack Hatchell Transit Center is a small bus-only station located on 15th Creek Dr. west of Coit in Plano, Texas, United States. It is owned and operated by Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), whose buses mostly serve Plano-area hospitals such as the Presbyterian Hospital and the Medical Center of Plano. It is one of the few DART transit centers outside the Dallas County area. In 1989 the bus station was opened as the West Plano Transit Center. On 12 October 2009, DART dignitaries and the City of Plano renamed and formally dedicated the station in memory of a Collin County Commissioner and transportation leader who died in 2008.

June Shelton School (also known as Shelton School or simply Shelton) is a PK–12 co-educational private school in Dallas, Texas, United States. It was established in 1976 by June Ford Shelton for the treatment or accommodation of students with learning differences (LD). It has grown into an international demonstration, resource and research center. It provides access to the Shelton organizations which include the Evaluation Center, Speech Clinic, and Outreach Center. Beginning in 2003, Shelton received research grants to help provide more answers for the LD population. The Early Intervention Program helps children with significant oral language disorders. Data on the most effective services is being analyzed. The Center for Advanced ADHD Research, Treatment and Education (CAARTE) is investigating sub types of ADHD and non-medication treatments. This study is in collaboration with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and UTD Center for BrainHealth.

W. A. Vines High School (commonly Vines or VHS) is a free co-educational secondary school in Plano, Texas (USA) serving grades nine and ten. Wilson and Haggard middle schools feed into Vines. Founded in 1976, the school is part of the Plano Independent School District, which is accredited by the Texas Education Agency. The school colors are maroon and white, and the school mascot is the Wildcat. Vines is one of six high schools in PISD, and is one of two that feed into Plano Senior High School.
