On 19 April 1943, members of the Belgian Resistance stopped a Holocaust train and freed a number of Jews who were being transported to Auschwitz concentration camp from Mechelen transit camp in Belgium, on the twentieth convoy from the camp. In the aftermath of the attack, a number of others were able to jump from the train too. In all, 233 people managed to escape, of whom 118 ultimately survived. The remainder were either killed during the escape or were recaptured soon afterwards. The attack was unusual as an attempt by the resistance to free Jewish deportees and marks the only mass breakout by deportees on a Holocaust train.

The municipality comprises the towns of Berg, Buken, Kampenhout proper and Nederokkerzeel. On 1 January 2006 Kampenhout had a total population of 10,956. The total area is 33.49 km² which gives a population density of 327 inhabitants per km². Honorary citizenship has been bestowed upon Jules Penninckx, Armand Preud'homme, cyclist Raymond Impanis, singer Will Tura, athlete Kim Gevaert and Stef Maginelle. Sabena Flight 548 crashed near Berg on 15 February 1961, killing all on board, as well as one person on the ground.The Brabant Center for Music Traditions was established in Kampenhout, it shows a collection of traditional folk music and changing expositions.

Bethlehem Abbey in the village of Bonheiden, Belgium, is a house of Benedictine nuns of the Subiaco Cassinese Congregation. The monastery was built in 1965 as a Redemptorist house but was transferred to the Benedictines in 1975. The community formerly ran a publishing imprint which produced Dutch translations of the writings of Basil of Caesarea and Athanasius of Alexandria. Since 30 May 2015 the Benedictines have shared the monastery buildings with a lay community (the Moriya Community).

The Brabant Center for Music Tradiations (Dutch: Brabants Centrum voor Muziektradities) is a museum and folk music center in Kampenhout in Flemish Brabant, Belgium.The center maintains a study and documentation center with around one thousand publications on traditional folk music in Flanders and the rest of Europe. During the year several changing thematic expositions are shown, next to the permanent musical instrument collection of violin and bagpipes player Hubert Boone, a collection of photographs of musicians and musical instruments and some music recordings.The collection of Boone plays an important role in the center. As a scientific contributor he was affiliated to the Musical Instrument Museum of Brussels. He produced a variety of works on local music history and folk musical instruments. He was a key member of the folk dance group De Vlier and the ensemble Limbrant.The center was inaugurated in the Glass Hall (Glazen Zaal) on 4 December 2011, in attendance of prominent Flemish music administrators and the mayor of Kampenhout. On this day an exhibition started on the society of the hummel instrument from the town Sint-Martens-Lennik, and live music was played by the MandolinMan Quartet.

Bonheiden (Dutch pronunciation: [bɔnˈɦɛi̯də(n)] ) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the towns of Bonheiden proper and Rijmenam. In 2021, Bonheiden had a total population of 15,177. The total area is 29.27 km2 (11.30 sq mi).
