Épagny, Haute-Savoie

Épagny Metz-Tessy (French pronunciation: [epaɲi mɛtɛsi]) is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department of southeastern France. The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 and consists of the former communes of Épagny and Metz-Tessy. It is part of the urban area of Annecy.

It is an effluent of Lake Annecy and an affluent of the Fier, which is in turn a tributary of the Rhône. The Thiou is considered one of the cleanest rivers in Europe and a postcard of the city of Annecy. The Thiou crosses the city forming small canals without which the city would not be often called the Venice of the Alps. During the nineteenth century, the Thiou played an important role in manufacturing activities and provided the necessary energy to the industries that developed in the city of Annecy.

Poisy (French pronunciation: [pwazi]; Arpitan: Pouêzy) is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is part of the urban area of Annecy.

Parc des Sports is a multi-purpose stadium in Annecy, France. It is used by FC Annecy as the club’s home ground. The capacity of the stadium is 15,660 spectators. It also hosted the 1998 World Junior Championships in Athletics.

Geographically, the Mandallaz Mountain is a small pre-Alpine massif 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) long by 3–4 km (1.9–2.5 mi) wide, between 500 metres (1,600 ft) and 929 metres (3,048 ft) high (the top is called "The Head"), north-west of Annecy in the Haute-Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. The Mandallaz has a mirror break, which provoked an earthquake in 1996.

Annecy station (French: Gare d'Annecy) is a railway station located in Annecy, Haute-Savoie, south-eastern France. The station was opened in 1866 and is located on the Aix-les-Bains–Annemasse railway and the now closed Annecy-Albertville railway. The trains serving this station are operated by SNCF. In December 2012 a new multimodal interchange between bus routes and the train station was opened.
