Combloux (French pronunciation: [kɔ̃blu]) is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France. A mountain village in the French Alps, it is also popular as a ski resort. Combloux is located 4 km (2.5 mi) from Megève and 30 km (19 mi) from Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.

Sallanches-Combloux-Megève station (French: Gare de Sallanches-Combloux-Megève) is a railway station in the commune of Sallanches, in the French department of Haute-Savoie. It is located on the standard gauge La Roche-sur-Foron–Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet line of SNCF.

The 1964 UCI Road World Championships took place from 3 to 6 September 1964 in Sallanches, France.

Sallanches (French pronunciation: [salɑ̃ʃ]; Arpitan: Salenches) is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department of France. Located close to the Mont Blanc massif, many visitors pass through the town en route to well-known alpine resorts such as Chamonix, Megève and Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. Sallanches is also one of the towns in the Arve Valley, made popular by the presence of many high-tech industries. Over 300 retail stores are located in Sallanches, making the town a commercial hub. In 2018, the commune had a population of 16,508, and its urban area had 46,128 inhabitants.In 2015 Sallanches hospital announced that, as part of the government's "groupements hospitaliers de territoire" policy, it would develop a specialist accident department to research and develop mountain-related emergency medicine, because of its proximity to, and past experience of, dealing with accidents occurring in the nearby high mountains. With an emergency team of 30 doctors and emergency staff, plus 50 support staff, it is expected that the new mountain medicine department will become a world-leader in developing treatments and researching into altitude sickness, frostbite, hypoxia, trauma-injuries and related sports medicine.

The canton of Sallanches is an administrative division of the Haute-Savoie department, southeastern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Sallanches.It consists of the following communes:

It is part of the urban area of Sallanches.Located there is the Sancellemoz sanatorium, where Professor Marie Curie died in 1934. Lac Vert is located in the commune. The commune has a railway station, Chedde, on the Saint-Gervais–Vallorcine line.

Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet station (French: Gare de Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet) is a railway station serving the town Saint-Gervais-les-Bains, Haute-Savoie department, southeastern France. It is the southeastern terminus of the standard gauge La Roche-sur-Foron–Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet line from La Roche-sur-Foron, the southwestern terminus of the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) gauge Saint-Gervais–Vallorcine line from the Swiss border, and the western terminus of the Mont Blanc Tramway. It is the southeastern terminus of the L3 line of the Léman Express, a suburban rail network for the Grand Genève, which began operation in 2019. The station is the base for maintenance equipment including a snow plough for the Mont Blanc Express.

La Ferme de Mon Père (French for "My Father's Farm") was a restaurant in Megève, France, owned by the French chef Marc Veyrat. It was famous for being one of two restaurants, both owned by Veyrat, to receive a perfect score (20/20) from the French food guidebook Gault Millau. No restaurant had earned a perfect score of 20 before because the authors of Gault Millau had thought perfection was impossible to achieve. It combined an inn with the restaurant, both operating under the same name in a reconstructed farmhouse. The restaurant also had a three-star rating from the Michelin Guide. One of the most unusual aspects of the design of the restaurant was the presence of farm animals inside the building and visible from the dining area. During your meal you could look through interior windows placed in the walls and at least one window in the floor and watch bucolic scenes from a barn including cows, chickens and other creatures. The animals were insulated aromatically from the dining area. The restaurant was closed in 2005 and remained closed until the Zannier group purchased the chalet complex and fully renovated during 2011. The restaurant, spa and luxury chalet is operated now under the name of Le Chalet Zannier.

The Thermes de Saint Gervais Mont-Blanc is a spa organized around thermal springs, located in the valley of the Arve, in the hamlet of Fayet, in the municipality of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in Haute-Savoie.
