Borah High School is a three-year public secondary school in Boise, Idaho, one of four traditional high schools in the Boise School District. It serves students in grades 10–12 in the southwest portion of the district. It is named after William Borah (1865–1940), a prominent U.S. Senator and a presidential candidate in 1936.

Franklin School in Boise, Idaho, was a 2-story, brick and stucco building designed by Tourtellotte & Hummel and constructed in 1926. The school featured a flat roof with a decorated concrete parapet. The school was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1982. In 2009 the building was demolished.

The Idaho Centennial Ladies' Open was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, played only in 1963 in Boise, Idaho. The 54-hole event was held 59 years ago at Hillcrest Country Club over the Labor Day weekend, Saturday through Monday.Mickey Wright won the event by four strokes over runner-up Kathy Whitworth; both players shot 68 (−3) in the final round. Tied for third at 215 (+2) were Shirley Englehorn of Caldwell and Marlene Hagge. It was Wright's 10th of 13 victories on the LPGA Tour in 1963, and her 49th of 82 career wins. Whitworth won the previous week in Ogden, Utah, and the following week in Spokane, Washington. The centennial referred to the establishment of the Idaho Territory in 1863; statehood for Idaho came 27 years later in 1890.

Hillcrest Country Club is a country club in the western United States in Boise, Idaho. Located in the bench area in the southwest area of the city, it is immediately northwest of the Boise Airport. The club hosts the Boise Open professional golf tournament, a regular stop on the Korn Ferry Tour.

The Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron is a professional golf tournament in Idaho on the Korn Ferry Tour, played annually at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise. Held in mid-September for its first 23 years, the new September playoff schedule of the Web.com Tour in 2013 moved the Boise event up to late July. The event returned to mid-September in 2016, and became part of the Web.com Tour Finals as the penultimate event. The schedule was revised for 2019 and it moved to late August. The Boise Open has been played every year since 1990, the first year of the tour, then known as the Ben Hogan Tour. It is one of four original tournaments on the current schedule. Future notable names in the top 20 that first year were Tom Lehman, John Daly, Jeff Maggert, and Stephen Ames; David Toms made the cut. Golf has been played on the site since the 1920s, originally named Idaho Country Club. Established in 1940, Hillcrest Country Club has been the only home of the tournament since its inception. The Boise Open was a 54-hole tournament for its first six years, a fourth round was added in 1996.This stop in southwestern Idaho consistently offers one of the top purses on the Korn Ferry Tour. The 2019 purse is expected to be $1.0 million, with a winner's share of $180,000. The first purse in 1990 was $100,000, with a winner's share of $20,000; the first six-figure winner's share went to Tim Clark in 2000.The 2003 event featured 13-year-old Michelle Wie, the youngest ever to play on the tour; she carded 78-76 and missed the cut by twelve strokes.Chris Tidland shot 264 (−20) to win by four strokes in 2008; Fran Quinn shot 270 (−14) in 2009 with a birdie on the final hole to edge third round leader Blake Adams by a single stroke. The grocery chain was founded 83 years ago by Joe Albertson in 1939 in Boise, and the company was headquartered in the city until 2006, when it was acquired by Supervalu of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The company has committed to sponsorship of the tournament through 2016.

Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel is a synagogue in Boise, Idaho. Its 1896 building is amongst the oldest synagogues in continuous use west of the Mississippi River. The congregation is affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism.

The John Green Mausoleum at Morris Hill Cemetery in Boise, Idaho, is an eclectic entombment designed by Tourtellotte & Co. and constructed in 1909. The mausoleum is made of stone and shows a Romanesque influence with geometric forms. Bronze doors opposite a single window are the only fenestrations, and corner pilasters frame the structure. A parapet stairway extends beyond an outset gable above the entrance. The mausoleum was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Morris Hill Cemetery Mausoleum in Boise, Idaho, was designed by Tourtellotte & Hummel and constructed in 1937. The Art Deco, reinforced concrete building includes stained glass windows at the end of each wing, and a central stained glass window is across from a single, bronze door entry. The mausoleum was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The mausoleum is managed by Boise Parks and Recreation. It was constructed after a successful public offering of subscription sales promoted by George D. Mason of Glendale, California. The mausoleum was dedicated by Frank A. Rhea in 1938.

The New York Canal in Ada County and Canyon County, Idaho, is a 41-mile irrigation canal originating at the Boise River Diversion Dam and ending at Lake Lowell. The canal system includes multiple lateral canals that distribute water to approximately 165,000 acres of farmland in the Boise Valley. The canal has a capacity of 2,400 cubic feet per second.
