Onepoto (volcanic crater)

Onepoto Bridge is a 46 m (151 ft) long pedestrian and cyclist bridge crossing the tidal stream outlet of the Onepoto volcanic crater in Northcote, Auckland. The bridge became necessary after widening of Onewa Road towards State Highway 1 made the existing bridge too narrow to carry footpaths. After deciding to build a new bridge, North Shore City Council resolved to construct an iconic structure that would create "architecture integrated into the landscape". This resulting in the bridge structure being encased with wooden curved 'ribs' that have been described as a whale skeleton, a wave or a half-finished sailing ship. The bridge was designed by Beca Group.The bridge is also part of North Shore City's strategic cycle route network and incorporated into works to better access the local estuarial area for the community.

Tank Farm (sometimes Tuff Crater) is the name of a volcanic explosion crater (or maar) on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand, near the approaches to the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

Northcote ( NORTH-kət) is a suburb of Auckland in northern New Zealand. It is situated on the North Shore, on the northern shores of Waitematā Harbour, four km northwest of Auckland CBD. The suburb includes the peninsula of Northcote Point and the northern approaches to the Auckland Harbour Bridge. Northcote Central is to the north of Northcote.

Hato Petera College (formerly called St Peter's Māori College) was an integrated, co-educational college in Northcote Central, Auckland, New Zealand for students from Year 9 to Year 13. It existed for 90 years, opening on 3 June 1928 and closing on 31 August 2018. The school had a strong Catholic and Māori character. It was located on part of the land originally given by Sir George Grey, Governor of New Zealand, to Bishop Pompallier, the first Bishop of Auckland, in 1849 for education purposes. The school was established and staffed in 1928 by the Mill Hill Fathers and later the Marist Brothers provided staff. Hato Petera College was the only Māori Catholic co-educational learning institute. In 2016 the school roll was 35, but, following the closure of the boarding facilities in 2017, the roll plummeted. A commissioner was appointed by the Minister of Education to manage the school while consultations to decide its future took place. In June 2018, the school was facing imminent closure and it was officially closed on 31 August 2018.

Little Shoal Bay is a bay of the Waitematā Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand. It is located on the North Shore, separating Birkenhead from Northcote. The Birkenhead and Northcote wharves are located at opposite sides of the bay.

Akoranga busway station is in Northcote, New Zealand, on the Northern Busway. It is adjacent to Auckland University of Technology's North Campus and linked to it by a footbridge over the Northern Motorway. It has shelters, electronic real-time information, and passenger drop off and pick up.It opened on 2 February 2008, the closest busway station to Britomart Transport Centre and the Auckland Harbour Bridge. It is the southernmost station on the busway. The next station northbound is Smales Farm busway station. Buses travelling via the station include double-decker buses serving the Northern Express NX1 and NX2 routes.

Takapuna Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in Takapuna, New Zealand. The club was established in 1934 and is a member of the North Harbour Rugby Union. Until 1985, Takapuna was a member of the Auckland Rugby Football Union. The club is based at Onewa Domain, which was also home to North Harbour until 1997.

Northcote College is a New Zealand secondary school for boys and girls (co-educational) located in Northcote, Auckland. The school caters for Form 3 (Year 9) to Form 7 (Year 13). It was founded in 1877 and is the oldest secondary school on the North Shore.Sporting codes and cultural activities include rugby, football (soccer), drama/performance, jazz band, orchestra, theatre sports and cultural groups. Rosmini College is a state integrated Catholic secondary school for boys, situated in Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand. The school caters to Years 7-13 (Forms 1-7), and currently has a roll of approximately 1097. Founded in 1962 by Father Catcheside, the school was named after Antonio Rosmini, founder of the Institute of Charity. The school's motto is Legis Charitas Plenitudo, translated as 'Charity Fulfills the Law', or sometimes translated as 'Love Fulfills the Law'. Tom Gerrard was the school's principal from 1976 until 2014, making him New Zealand's longest serving principal.
