The Providence Steel and Iron Company Complex is an historic industrial complex at 27 Sims Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. It consists of five one and two-story buildings, built between 1902 and 1951 for the Providence Steel and Iron Company (PS&I), whose corporate lineage begins with the Providence-based Builders Iron Foundry (BIF) in 1822. BIF purchased the land on Sims Avenue in 1902 to replace old facilities on Codding Street. PS&I was established as a subsidiary of BIF, producing both structural and ornamental steel products, and was separated from its parent by sale in 1905. PS&I continued to operate on the Sims Street property until 2003, when it was sold to Milhaus LLC for redevelopment into a non-profit industrial arts facility, the Steel Yard.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.In 2013, the Steel Yard won the Rudy Bruner Award for Urban Excellence silver medal for its adaptive reuse of the property.

The American Brewing Company Plant, owned by the American Brewing Company, is a historic brewery complex at 431 Harris Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island that operated between 1892 and 1922. It is a well-preserved example of a state of the art late 19th century brewery building, its original functions still discernible in its layout. It was only used as a brewery until 1922, when it was shut down by Prohibition; it has served as a warehouse and storage facility for most of the time since. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Valley is a neighborhood in northwestern Providence, Rhode Island. It is bounded to the north by Chalkstone Avenue, to the east by Raymond Street, to the south by Harris Avenue and Atwells Avenue, and to the west by Academy Avenue. The population of the neighborhood, as of 2000, was 4,765.

The Corporation of the Church of the Holy Ghost is located in the heart of Federal Hill, Providence, Rhode Island's "Little Italy". The church was established on September 22, 1889 by the Missionaries of Saint Charles Borromeo to serve the spiritual needs of the new Italian immigrants at the turn of the 19th century. Father Luigi Paroli, CS obtained permission by Bishop Matthew Harkins of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence and was installed as the first pastor of the parish. Initially, the community of Italian worshipers were hosted in the basement of the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul (Providence, Rhode Island) before moving to Ivy Hall on Swiss Street in Providence. In 1901 the congregation grew too large for its current dwelling and a number of lots were purchased on the corner of Knight Street and Atwells Avenue at the west end of Federal Hill. A one level structure what today is the present church's basement served as the main place of worship for devotees until the triforium, edifice and campanile were constructed eight years later. On Pentecost Sunday, May 26, 1901 Blessed Giovanni Battista Scalabrini visited the parish on the feast day of its patron the Holy Ghost. On that day the founder of the Missionaries of St. Charles Borromeo celebrated multiple Masses and Confirmed nearly 1,200 Catholics that day.

The Rising Sun Mill, formerly the National and Providence Worsted Mills, are a historic textile mill complex located at 166 Valley Street in Providence, Rhode Island. The complex consists of thirteen brick and stone structures, ranging in height from one to four stories, located on the banks of the Woonasquatucket River in the Olneyville neighborhood of the city. Most of them were built between 1880 and 1890, with a small number from 1907 and later. The National and Providence Company and its successors operated here from 1881 into the 1950s, a time period when Providence was a leading manufacturer of worsted wool material.The mills were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The Wilbury Theatre Group is a nonprofit theatre located in the Olneyville neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island. It is known for its experimental theater and its annual fringe festival, FringePVD. Wilbury Theatre Group was founded in 2010. The name is a reference to the Traveling Wilburys. After years performing in warehouses and unconventional performance spaces throughout Providence, the group became the theatre company in residence at the Southside Cultural Center in 2013. The group moved from the Southside Cultural Center to its own space in Olneyville in 2017. They moved again in 2021 to the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence's Valley Arts District. The group's artistic director, Josh Short, has been with the Wilbury Theatre since it began. Since its founding, the Wilbury Theatre Group has produced over 100 shows. Productions have included Fun Home, Spring Awakening, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, and works by prominent Rhode Island artists like Darcie Dennigan, Christopher Johnson, Vanessa Gilbert, and Vatic Kuumba, and Rebecca Noon.The theater also supports the creation of new works through its Studio W program, offers acting classes, actor and playwright residencies, and community outreach. The Wilbury Theatre Group started Rhode Island's fringe festival, FringePVD, in 2014. It is the largest fringe theater festival in New England.

Providence VA Medical Center is a federal government hospital run by the Veterans' Administration at 830 Chalkstone Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. The Providence VA Medical Center was constructed in 1948 after World War II with an additional wing constructed in 1977 and an ambulatory care building built it 1998. The medical center also runs three Community-Based Outpatient Clinics in New Bedford (since 1985), Hyannis (since 1998), and Middletown (since 2000) and the Eagle Square Annex.

Bell Street Chapel is an historic Unitarian Universalist chapel church located at 5 Bell Street in Providence, Rhode Island. This is just off Broadway in the part of the city referred to as "Federal Hill." The church is a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA).

The Wedding Cake House (formally known as the Kendrick-Prentice-Tirocchi house) is a three-story historic house located at 514 Broadway Street in the Broadway-Armory Historic District of Providence, Rhode Island. Built in 1867 and occupied continuously until 1989, its contents were the subject of a 2001 exhibit at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum. It has had a variety of restoration work conducted since 2011. Built in the Victorian Italianate style, it has been called Providence's ‘consummate gingerbread house’.

The Nicholson File Company Mill Complex is a historic industrial manufacturing complex at 1-45 Acorn Street in Providence, Rhode Island. It consists of 24 buildings occupying 7 acres (2.8 ha) of land, of which 20 are historically significant. The oldest of the buildings were built in 1865 to designs by William Nicholson, and the complex was regularly expanded over the decades through the early 20th century. The Nicholson File Company was a major producer of machine-made files, started by William Nicholson in 1859. The company manufactured precision tools used in the manufacture of armaments during the American Civil War for the Union Army, and closed the plant in 1959. It has been used by a variety of light industrial concerns since then.The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Providence Dyeing, Bleaching, Calendring Company (or Valley Bleachery) is an historic industrial complex located at 46,50,52,60 Valley Street and 80 Delaine Street in Providence, Rhode Island. It consists of 18 small-to-medium-sized brick and stone structures in a parcel 4 acres (1.6 ha) in size, between Valley Street and the Woonasquatucket River. Although most of these buildings were constructed between 1900 and 1920, the oldest building in the complex is a single-story rubble stone structure which may contain elements of an 18th-century mill structure, and is known to have achieved its present form around 1837. The original water privilege for this mill site was granted to Christopher Olney in 1773 for a paper mill.The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
