Ark Hill is a mountainous landform within the Sidlaw Hills in Angus, Scotland. This location has been proposed as a windfarm for generating renewable electrical power. Approximately two kilometres to the north is the village of Eassie noted for the presence of the Eassie Stone; this carved Pictish stone is dated prior to the Early Middle Ages.

Balkeerie is a village in Angus, Scotland north of Dundee. It has an elevation of 222 feet (68 m) above sea level. It is one mile (1.6 km) to the north east of kirkinch and two-thirds of a mile (1.1 km) to the west of the village of Eassie. Eassie is noted for the presence of the Eassie Stone, a carved Pictish stone.

Auchterhouse Hill is the second highest hill of the Sidlaw range in South East Angus. At 426 metres (1,398 ft), it is classified as a Tump with a relative height of 81 m (266 ft). Auchterhouse Hill is located near Auchterhouse and is higher than Balkello Hill and is smaller than nearby Craigowl Hill. There is an ancient hill fort on the summit.The annual Auchterhouse Hill Race takes place in March.

Castleton, officially Castleton Of Eassie, is a village in Angus, Scotland. This settlement is situated along the A94 road between Glamis and Meigle. One mile to the south is the village of Eassie and Eassie Old Church, noted for the presence of the Eassie Stone; this carved Pictish stone is dated prior to the Early Middle Ages. Slightly further to the south lies Ark Hill within the Sidlaw Hills. Castleton Hotel stands on the medieval fortification that gives the settlement its name, an enormous defensive mound surrounded by a broad ditch. The rectangular earthwork is 12-to-14-foot (3.7 to 4.3 m) deep in the north-east, with a three-foot internal rampart, elsewhere it is shallower. There are no visible remains of the buildings of the medieval castle, which were perhaps largely of wood.

Balkello Hill is a hill in Angus, Scotland. It is the third highest hill of the Sidlaw range and is visible from Sidlaws View Trail. Balkello Hill is located near Auchterhouse and is smaller than both Auchterhouse Hill & Craigowl Hill.

Old Balkello is a village in Angus, Scotland, three miles north of Dundee on the Auchterhouse to Tealing road.

Craigowl Hill is a summit towards the eastern end of the Sidlaw Hills in Angus, Scotland. Northeast of Kirkton of Auchterhouse and approximately eight kilometres north of Dundee, Craigowl Hill represents the highest point in the range. It also known for being one of the hardest cycling climbs in Scotland, as a 3.36-kilometre (2 mi 155 yd) climb at 9.4% gradient.
