Martin Stadium

Rogers Field was an outdoor athletic stadium in the northwest United States, on the campus of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. It was the home venue of the WSU Cougars football and track teams until severely damaged by a fire in April 1970. Partially demolished in early 1971, Rogers Field was replaced by the concrete Martin Stadium, which was built on the same site and opened in 1972.

The Battle of the Palouse refers to an athletic rivalry in the northwest United States, between the Vandals of the University of Idaho and Cougars of Washington State University. The two land-grant universities are less than eight miles (13 km) apart on the rural Palouse in the Inland Northwest; Idaho's campus in Moscow is nearly on the Idaho–Washington border, and Washington State's campus is directly west in Pullman, linked by Washington State Route 270 and the Bill Chipman Palouse Trail. The two schools' most prominent rivalry was in football, but in later years it has shifted to men's basketball.

The Palouse ( pə-LOOSS) is a distinct geographic region of the northwestern United States, encompassing parts of north central Idaho, southeastern Washington, and, by some definitions, parts of northeast Oregon. It is a major agricultural area, primarily producing wheat and legumes. Situated about 160 miles (260 km) north of the Oregon Trail, the region experienced rapid growth in the late 19th century. The Palouse is home to two land-grant universities: the University of Idaho in Moscow and Washington State University in Pullman. Just eight miles (13 km) apart, both schools opened in the early 1890s.

Washington State University (Washington State, WSU, or informally Wazzu) is a public land-grant research university with its flagship, and oldest, campus in Pullman, Washington. Founded in 1890, WSU is also one of the oldest land-grant universities in the American West. With an undergraduate enrollment of 24,278 and a total enrollment of 28,581, it is the second largest institution for higher education in Washington state behind the University of Washington. It is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity".The WSU Pullman campus stands on a hill and is characterized by open spaces and a red brick and basalt material palette—materials originally found on site. The university sits within the rolling topography of the Palouse in rural eastern Washington and remains closely connected to the town and the region. The university also operates campuses across Washington at WSU Spokane, WSU Tri-Cities, and WSU Vancouver, all founded in 1989. In 2012, WSU launched an Internet-based Global Campus, which includes its online degree program, WSU Online. In 2015, WSU expanded to a sixth campus at WSU Everett. These campuses award primarily bachelor's and master's degrees. Freshmen and sophomores were first admitted to the Vancouver campus in 2006 and to the Tri-Cities campus in 2007. WSU's athletic teams are called the Cougars and the school colors are crimson and gray. Six men's and nine women's varsity teams compete in NCAA Division I in the Pac-12 Conference. Both men's and women's indoor track teams compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

Bohler Gymnasium is a 3,000 seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Opened 96 years ago in 1928 and located directly northwest of Rogers Field (now the site of Martin Stadium), it was home to the Cougar basketball teams through March 1973, as the new Beasley Coliseum opened that June. A power outage at Beasley in January 1987 forced it back into service for a conference game against Arizona.Named after longtime head coach and athletic director Fred Bohler (1885–1960) in October 1946, it was refurbished in 2000 and is currently the home venue of Cougar volleyball. The only volleyball specific venue in the Pac-12. When the gym hosted the Pacific Coast Conference championship series in March 1941, its capacity was 5,600; it was estimated at 5,000 in the early 1970s.

The Regents Hill residential complex, also known as Regents Hall, is a residence hall located on the main campus of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Designed by Paul Thiry and completed in 1952, it was the first International Style building on the Washington State University campus. It is one of the many dormitories on the Washington State University campus available to undergraduates. Variously called "Regents Hall" and the "Regents Hill Halls," the complex (originally named the "New Women's Dormitory" and officially renamed the "Regents Hill Dormitories" on December 4, 1951), consists of two, four-story linked residential wings, McGregor Hall and Barnard Hall, and Stearns Hall—a free-standing dining hall and common space. Together with Scott Coman Hall just to its northwest (completed in 1958), the complex ushered in a new era of campus design featuring large, technologically sophisticated, light-filled concrete buildings for research, teaching, and residential life. Regents Hill was also the first residential hall built following World War II at what was, in 1952, still called Washington State College (WSC). The college became Washington State University in 1959.

Beasley Coliseum is a general-purpose indoor arena in the northwest United States, located on the campus of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. The home venue for the Cougars men's and women's basketball teams of the Pac-12 Conference, it opened 51 years ago in 1973, and its current seating capacity is 12,058 for basketball. The arena was renamed in 1981 for Wallis Beasley (1915–2008), a long-time sociology professor and executive vice president, shortly before his retirement from the university. He was WSU's faculty representative for athletics in the 1960s and also served as interim university president. For its first eight years, the venue was known as "Washington State University Performing Arts Coliseum." The building used "space frame" construction, relatively novel at the time. The elevation of the court is approximately 2,550 feet (775 m) above sea level. The project was approved by the WSU board of regents in early 1969.

The Carson College of Business is the business school of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Established in 1963, it is one of the largest of the ten colleges in WSU.

The Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) is the veterinary school and one of the ten colleges of Washington State University. Established in 1899, it is the sole veterinary school in the state of Washington and one of the oldest in the United States.

The Washington State University College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) is one of the 11 colleges of Washington State University that offer undergraduate and graduate programs. Established as Washington Agricultural College and School of Science, the college started instructions on January 13, 1892. The college is in Pullman, Washington, and became a land-grant college after the passage of Morrill Act. The college provides education, research and services through fifteen academic departments, four research and extension centers, and thirty-nine county extension offices across the state of Washington. The college is known for apple production, grape growers and small grain genetics and breeding.

Scott/Coman Hall is a residence hall complex located on the main campus of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. It consists of two separate buildings, Coman Hall and Scott Hall.

Bryan Hall is a prominent collegiate building in the northwest United States, on the campus of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Located in the historic campus core, it is named for Enoch A. Bryan (1855–1941), the president of the college from 1893 to 1915. Easily distinguished by its clock tower, it is currently home to WSU’s Thomas Foley Institute, an auditorium and workshop used by the School of Music for musical theatre and opera productions, along with offices for the university's Global Learning and International Programs.
