Cathedraltown is a planned neighbourhood with an estimated population of 3,000 in the City of Markham, just north of Toronto. Cathedraltown was named after the Cathedral of the Transfiguration, around which the neighbourhood was built.

It is a technologically oriented school, is part of the York Catholic District School Board, and opened in 2001. As of September 2019, it had an enrolment of 1082 students and 80 faculty members. In the Fraser Institute's Report Card on Ontario’s Secondary Schools 2019, the school was ranked 12th out of 739 secondary schools in Ontario with an overall rating of 8.8 out of 10.Even though St. Augustine CHS has a short history, it has earned itself a distinguished reputation in the York Catholic District School Board as a strong academic school, earning high grades in the grade nine EQAO mathematics and the grade ten OSSLT. Cachet (Pronunciation: cash-AY) is a neighbourhood within northwestern Markham, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded by 16th Avenue to the south, Major Mackenzie Drive East to the north, Warden Avenue to the east and Woodbine Avenue or Highway 404 (depending on exact definition), to the west. The area is a residential development that has replaced farmland that once defined the area. The residents of Cachet consist mostly of middle to upper-income families and the housing consists of large single family homes. The Cachet Centre is a small strip mall that services mainly to local residents. There is also an Asian shopping centre at the intersection of Woodbine Avenue and Markland Street, called King Square. When the shopping centre is completed, it would be considered the largest Asian mall in North America. It is to be completed around 2020. The population of the community is predominantly Chinese and small minority of European heritage. The Rouge River and Berczy Creek flows through the community. This neighbourhood is also home to Ashton Meadows Public School, St. Monica Catholic Elementary School, and St. Augustine Catholic High School. The Ashton Meadows community consists of government housing. Many students who attended Ashton Meadows Public School go on to Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School, located at Berczy Village, on Bur Oak Avenue and Kennedy Road.

Fletcher's Fields is a rugby stadium in Markham, Ontario, Canada. There are six rugby fields, but only one with a grandstand for spectators. The club house, with changerooms and a snack bar, is located in the centre of the facility. Parking is located in two lots south of 19th Avenue and one north of the clubhouse. The field was named for Denis Fletcher, a proponent of rugby in Ontario during the 1950s and 1960s.It previously served as home to the Toronto Rebellion of the Rugby Canada Super League. The stadium, which seats 3,200 people, has hosted numerous Canada national rugby union team matches in the past was one of the venues for the 2008 Churchill Cup. It also hosted the 2011 Colonial Cup.

Richmond Green Secondary School is a public secondary school in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. The school is located on Leslie Street, just north of Elgin Mills Road. The school is managed by the York Region District School Board. The school is a large, three-story building attached to the Richmond Green Public Library, which also serves as a school library. It is named after the adjacent Richmond Green park.

St. Agnes Kouying Tsao Catholic Church (Chinese: 天主教聖曹桂英堂), formerly known as Blessed Agnes Kouying Tsao Catholic Mission, was founded in 1992 by Rev. Fr. Nicola Ruggiero, an Italian missionary preaching in Hong Kong. St. Agnes was built in response to the growing religious demands of Chinese Christian immigrants flooding into the Markham area from places like Hong Kong and Mainland China. On October 1, 2000, Pope John Paul II canonized St. Agnes Kouying Tsao and the Parish was then renamed Saint Agnes Kouying Tsao Catholic Church.

Richmond Green, also known as the Richmond Green Sports Centre and Park is a city-owned and operated facility in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. It is located on 102 acres (0.41 km2) of land on the northwest corner of Leslie Street and Elgin Mills Road. Next to Richmond Green to its north is Richmond Green Secondary School and Richmond Green Public Library.

Buttonville is a suburban planned neighbourhood from a former police village in the city of Markham, Ontario, Canada, west of the larger Unionville neighbourhood. the former hamlet and police village named after its founder, John Button. About 30,000 residents live in the area, which is located along the Woodbine Avenue corridor from approximately Highway 7 in the south to Sixteenth Avenue in the north. The Rouge River is in the northeast and Buttonville Municipal Airport and Highway 404 are in the west, with three interchanges. The residential area is located in the eastern, northeastern, and the northern sections, and the industrial area is to the west and the south down to Highway 7. The area is home to many technology companies near the airport, which incidentally is the location from which weather reports are taken for Environment and Climate Change Canada by the Department of National Defence. There is talk about renaming the community to the John Button Community after its founder since there has been confusion between Unionville and Buttonville, which is popularly considered to be part of Unionville.

Buttonville Municipal Airport or Toronto/Buttonville Municipal Airport (IATA: YKZ, ICAO: CYKZ) was a medium-sized airport in the neighbourhood of Buttonville in Markham, Ontario, Canada, 29 km (18 mi) north of Downtown Toronto, which closed on November 24, 2023. It was operated by Torontair. Due to its location within Toronto's suburbs, there were several strict noise-reduction procedures for aircraft using the airport, which was open and staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In 2014, Buttonville was Canada's 20th busiest airport by aircraft movements. There was also a weather station located at the airport, which was still operational on the site but closed along with the airport (weather data for Markham is now referencing to Toronto City Centre Airport by Environment Canada). The airport was classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and was serviced by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) on a call-out basis from Oshawa Executive Airport during weekdays and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport on the Toronto Islands during weekends. CBSA officers at this airport handled general aviation aircraft only, with no more than 15 passengers.The airport was slated to cease all operations on November 30, 2023, following a private notice to all tenants at the airport. A NOTAM was issued stating CYKZ was officially closed at 11:00 (EST) on November 24, 2023.
