Neuhausen ob Eck Airfield (German: Flugplatz Neuhausen ob Eck, ICAO: EDSN) is a special airfield near the town of Neuhausen ob Eck in the district of Tuttlingen in Baden-Württemberg, Southern Germany. Used as a military airbase by the German Army Aviation Corps until 1994, it was rededicated a special airfield, and is since 1997 the site of the business park take-off GewerbePark Betreibergesellschaft mbH. Since 2002, the airfield also hosts the annual Southside Music Festival.

Fridingen (German pronunciation: [ˈfʁiːdɪŋən] ) is a town in the district of Tuttlingen, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated on the Danube, 10 km east of Tuttlingen, and 23 km west of Sigmaringen. A large hoard of Bronze Age jewellery (mostly armlets and bracelets) was discovered in the vicinity of the town in the nineteenth century. It is now part of the British Museum's prehistoric European collection.

Nendingen is a German village with 2850 inhabitants in Baden-Württemberg. The Danube flows through Nendingen, which lies between the towns Tuttlingen and Mühlheim an der Donau. Nendingen was founded by Nando, an Alamanni, between 260 and 300 AD. The majority of the Nendingers are Catholics and the church „St. Petrus und Jakobus“ (Saint Peter and James, son of Zebedee) is very old (Rococo) and nice. Nendingen belongs to the diocese Rottenburg-Stuttgart. Until 1873, parts of Mühlheim and Tuttlingen pertained to the Nendinger parish. The most popular sports are wrestling and handball. The carnival is very well-celebrated in the village. Nendingen is a part of Tuttlingen since 1973. It has an elementary school. Its coat of arms is blue and yellow and shows a shield and three fleur-de-lis. After 1409, Nendingen was directed by the baron of Mühlheim. By Napoleon, in 1805 it came to the Kingdom of Württemberg. Nendingen has a train station on the Tuttlingen–Inzigkofen railway. Nendingen has an intact and nice nature: 55,44 percent are forest (mainly beech) and 36,36 percent are agriculture. The Swabian Alb begins in Nendingen. As Nendingen is in Swabia, the inhabitants speak Swabian German.

Mühlheim an der Donau (or alternatively in English Mühlheim on the Danube) is a town in the district Tuttlingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated on the Danube, 7 km northeast of Tuttlingen.

The Bära is a river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The Bära is a tributary of the Danube, and originates at the confluence of the Obere Bära (Upper Bära) and the Untere Bära (Lower Bära). The 12.7 kilometres (7.9 mi) Bära, together with the Lower Bära, which is longer and has a larger drainage basin, has a combined length of 26.5 kilometres (16.5 mi). Obere and Untere Bära join to form the Bära in the Galgenwiesen ("gallows meadow"), about four kilometers above the resort of Bärenthal. This runs moderately without significant inflow a further 12.7 kilometres (7.9 mi) south-southeast in Talschlingen, draining an additional area of 31.2 square kilometres (12.0 sq mi). Passing through Bärenthal at last it flows into Fridingen and there, near the town mill, it flows last of all in a southwesterly direction into the upper Danube, approximately at the entrance to the Fridingen Danube Bend.

Kolbingen is a municipality in the district of Tuttlingen in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is situated about 15 km northeast of Tuttlingen and 7 km from Mühlheim an der Donau.

The Battle of Tuttlingen was fought in Tuttlingen on 24 November 1643 between the French army in Germany led by Marshal Josias Rantzau, composed of French soldiers and the so called Weimarans or Bernhardines, German troops once in service of Bernard of Saxe-Weimar. They were defeated by the forces of the Holy Roman Empire, Bavaria and Spain led by Franz von Mercy. Technically, Mercy led a military force composed of his Bavarian army, supported by Imperial, Spanish, and Lorrainer troops. The French army was wiped out in a surprise attack in heavy snowfall along with French strategic gains since 1638. The French court suppressed the defeat and it remains largely unknown today, even among historians of the war.
