Emmanuel Episcopal Church (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)

Calvary United Methodist Church at 971 Beech Avenue in the Allegheny West neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built from 1892 to 1895. This Gothic Revival styled Methodist church was designed by architects Vrydaugh and Shepherd, with T. B. Wolfe. It was added to the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 1972, and the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations on February 22, 1977.

Recreation Park was a sporting grounds and stadium located in what is today Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The stadium existed during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During the park's heyday, the location was considered to be within Allegheny City, but in 1907, the entire municipality was annexed by its larger neighbor and eventually became Pittsburgh's North Side. The field was the first National League home for the Pittsburgh Pirates (at the time referred to as the Alleghenys) of Major League Baseball. It also hosted many football games of the University of Pittsburgh (at the time referred to as the Western University of Pennsylvania). In November 1892, the park was the location of the first known American football game that included a professional player. The park left a scant pictorial record. Only one known photograph, taken from a very distant vantage point, shows the grounds in its longtime baseball configuration. It was discovered in 2015 in a time capsule left by scientific instrument maker John Brashear. A much-altered facility appears in later photos, including several newspaper shots of football games.

The Hoene-Werle House in the Manchester neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built in 1887 as a double house with a courtyard in the rear and a complex molded brick and millwork cornice in the front. German immigrants Herman H. Hoene, who owned a retail piano store, and Fred H. Werle, a druggist, originally owned the house.The house was abandoned then acquired by the city in the 1970s and then bought in the 1980s and restored. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is also part of the Manchester Historic District

The Allegheny City Stables, located at 840 W North Avenue in the Central North Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built in 1895. Robert Swan and Samuel Hastings constructed this 18,000-square-foot, three-story brick warehouse in Romanesque style. Noteworthy architectural details include parapets, brick diapering, and round-headed and segmental arched windows. The structure is significant for its association with the former City of Allegheny, having served as a public works and stables building. It housed the Department of Public Works and other offices on the first story, municipal and neighborhood horses on the second, and the resources for the horses on the third. Being the last surviving civic structure built by the government of Allegheny City, Allegheny City Stables began a neighborhood campaign led by the Allegheny West Civic Council, to save the old stables from demolition. The campaign was successful, and the stables building was added to the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations on July 7, 2007. Still, the building remained vacant for over a decade. From 2019 to 2021, Birgo, a North Side based real estate developer and property management company, restored the abandoned Allegheny City Stables. As of September 2019, the building was under renovation as loft apartments, which encompassed the renovated stable building accompanied by 32,000 square feet of new addition. The new development was constructed on the adjacent lot to the west side of the Stables building as an addition to the existing building, seamlessly connected in the interior. The new combined complex is called Allegheny City Stables Lofts, a residential community honoring the historical relevance of the Stables while adapting for a new purpose. The complex will include 36 units with a combination of studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units. Rental rates are slated to be between $1,500 and $2,500 per month. Communal amenities will include a fitness center, guest suite, lounge, indoor parking spaces and a lobby that “tells the story and pays tribute to the history of the neighborhood,” according to a media release.

Chalfant Hall of the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC), located at 915 Ridge Avenue in the Allegheny West neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built circa 1900. It was the former house of Henry Chalfant (1867–1928), who graduated from Harvard in 1899 and succeeded his father in the firm of Spang, Chalfant & Co. The house was added to the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 1981. CCAC acquired the property the same year.In 2019, CCAC announced that Chalfant Hall would be renovated to become the college's new Center for Teaching and Learning.

The William Penn Snyder House in the Allegheny West neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was built in 1911. It was added to the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 1972, the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations on March 15, 1974, and the National Register of Historic Places on May 3, 1976. The National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) is the national body that governs club baseball at colleges and universities in the United States. Club teams are different from varsity teams in that the school doesn't completely sponsor the teams' expenses and the teams are not eligible to play in the NCAA's College World Series. The NCBA was founded in 2000 to provide a national structure for the existing club teams. It structures the conferences, runs the NCBA College World Series (its national championship series), gathers playing statistics, assists teams in fundraising, and arranges for discounts on baseball clothing and equipment. The NCBA is a division of CollClubSports which operates as a for-profit LLC with a sole proprietorship in the name of Greg "Sandy" Sanderson as President. Many club-sport governing bodies operate as non-profit groups in order to return the most benefit to member teams. League dues for the NCBA are $1,700 per season per team. The two types of institutions that field club teams are schools that can't sponsor NCAA varsity baseball (often due to Title IX restrictions) and schools that do have a varsity team, but also have enough demand to field a second team.

Allegheny is a station on the Pittsburgh Regional Transit's Pittsburgh Light Rail network, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The stop serves the North Shore neighborhood and other adjacent neighborhoods. Among the locations within walking distance are: Acrisure Stadium, the Pittsburgh Steelers football stadium; Rivers Casino; the Stage AE amphitheater; Community College of Allegheny County's Allegheny Campus; and Carnegie Science Center. This station currently acts as the northern terminus of the Pittsburgh Light Rail system, and it is most distant station of the North Shore Connector project. It also marks the beginning of the Light Rail system's six-station "Free Fare Zone" within which riders do not need to pay to ride.Bus bays are located under the elevated station.
