Brecht, Belgium

Noorderkempen is a railway station near the town of Brecht, Antwerp province, Belgium. The station opened on 15 June 2009 on the HSL 4 high speed line between the Netherlands and Belgium. The train services are operated by National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS) and Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS). The station makes the Northern Kempen region connected to the rail network via the HSL 4 route and is the only true high-speed station in Belgium. However, it is not served by any true high-speed train, functioning rather as a park and ride for Antwerp and to a lesser extent Breda. The Thalys services (300 km/h) skip the station as the IC services (160 km/h - 200 km/h) serve the station.

Brecht Abbey, also known as the Abbey of Our Lady of Nazareth, is an abbey of Trappistine nuns located in Brecht, in the Campine region of the province of Antwerp (Flanders, Belgium). Life in the abbey is characterized by prayer, reading and manual work, the three basic elements of Trappist life.

Wuustwezel (Dutch pronunciation: [ʋystˈʋeːzəl]) is a municipality located in the north of the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality as it is now originated in 1977, when Wuustwezel merged with the municipality of Loenhout. It now consists of three major villages, Wuustwezel proper, Gooreind and Loenhout, and two minor hamlets, Braken and Sterbos. In 2021, Wuustwezel had a total population of 21,346. The total area is 89.43 km2. The Azencross Loenhout is a December cyclo-cross competition, which is part of the BPost Bank Trophy. The largest bloemencorso (flower parade) of Belgium is held in Loenhout. All the villages and hamlets in the area compete who has the most beautiful floats made out of flowers.Its neighbouring municipalities are Zundert in the Netherlands, Kalmthout, Kapellen, Brasschaat, Brecht and Hoogstraten. Loenhout is a village and deelgemeente (sub-municipality) of the municipality of Wuustwezel in the province of Antwerp, Belgium. The village is located near the Dutch border, and about 26 kilometres (16 mi) north-east of the city of Antwerp.

The Monasterium Magnificat is a monastery of the Annunciade Order, located in Westmalle, Belgium. It is the only monastery of this order in Belgium. It was created from the merger of three monasteries which existed in 1965: Tienen (1629), Geel (1853), and Merksem (1898). The new monastery was built between 1966 and 1970 in the midst of a quiet forest belonging to Westmalle Abbey. Marc Dessauvage (1931-1984) was the architect of the building.

Westmalle Brewery (Brouwerij der Trappisten van Westmalle) is a Trappist brewery in the Westmalle Abbey, Belgium. It produces three beers, designated as Trappist beer by the International Trappist Association. Westmalle Tripel is credited with being the first golden strong pale ale to use the term Tripel.

Westmalle Abbey, otherwise the Trappist Abbey of Westmalle (Dutch: Abdij van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van het Heilig Hart or the "Abbey of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart"), is a monastery of the Cistercians of Strict Observance in Westmalle in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The community was founded in 1794 and elevated to an abbey on 22 April 1836. It is the home of the Westmalle Brewery, a Trappist beer brewery.

The Scherpenberg mill, located in Westmalle, Belgium, is a tower mill that was built in 1843 to grind grain into flour. It is currently owned and operated by the municipal authorities of Malle, the only hours of operation being Sunday from 1:30 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.

The Belgian Open is a men's golf tournament which has been played intermittently from 1910 to 2000. All editions since 1978 have been part of the European Tour. After not having been played since 2000, it returned in 2018 as the Belgian Knockout, hosted by PietersProductions, along with its co-founder, Belgian professional golfer Thomas Pieters. With a prize pool set at €1 million, 144 professional golfers start the competition with 36 holes of stroke play, followed by 9-hole match play for the top 64 finishers from the stroke play rounds.
