Chung Mei

Chun Kwan Temple (Chinese: 真君廟; Jyutping: zan1 gwan1 miu6) is a temple dedicated to Chun Kwan on Tsing Yi Island in Hong Kong. Chun Kwan was a commoner who had combatted pirates during the South Song Dynasty (960–1279).The original temple was built on the waterfront 100 years ago and later moved to its present location on the junction of Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui Road and Fung Shue Wo Road. During Chun Kwan's Birthday, on the 15th day of the third lunar month, traditional Cantonese opera performances are staged for 5 days.

Tsing Yi Bamboo Theatre (Chinese: 青衣戲棚) is a temporary built theatre which made with bamboos. It is located in Fung Shue Wo Road Football Field, which is next to Municipal Service Building in Tsing Yi, Hong Kong. It is for the celebration of Tin Hau (The Empress of Heaven) and Zhen Jun (The True Lord).

Tsing Yi Police Station (Chinese: 青衣警署), once also known as Tsing Yi Division Police Station (青衣分區警署) is the only police station on Tsing Yi Island in Hong Kong. The station is located at Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui Road, between Tsing Yi Police Married Quarters and Tsing Yi Fire Station, below Chung Mei Tsuen of Ha Ko Tan. Its front faces Greenfield Garden, a private housing estate.The police station is the headquarters of the Tsing Yi Division, under the New Territories South Region. It was designed to be a district police station (警區警署) for the island. But, the population does not grow as quickly as expected and still under 200 thousand. It thus remains as a division police station (分區警署).The police station includes a report centre. Some operational units of the New Territories South Regional Headquarters occupied part of the Tsing Yi Police Station until mid-2005 when they were relocated to new building in Tsuen Wan. This caused attention from the Audit Commission who recommended that the Commissioner of Police review the use of unused space at the station.

Po Leung Kuk Lo Kit Sing (1983) College (Chinese: 保良局羅傑承(一九八三)中學) is a Hong Kong secondary school. Located in Cheung Hong Estate, Tsing Yi, New Territories, the subsidised secondary school was founded by Po Leung Kuk, a Hong Kong charitable organisation, in 1984. It was the first secondary school on the island. The school was named as Po Leung Kuk 1983 Board of Directors' College (Chinese: 保良局八三年總理中學) before 2011.

Tsing Yi Lagoon, or Tsing Yi Tong, was a lagoon on the east shore of Tsing Yi Island in Hong Kong. Its water came from a stream in the nearby valley of Liu To and its outlet was at Tsing Yi Bay. It acted as the shelter for nearby boat people, especially after large-scale land reclamation in Tsuen Wan and Kwai Chung. Once their boats moved into the lagoon, they never moved out. This was because their boats were too old for fishing far away. The lagoon was unable to escape the fate of development. Both the lagoon and the neighbouring Tsing Yi Bay, were reclaimed for new towns. The boat people were forced to give up their boats and were relocated to public housing estate on the island. After reclamation, the northern portion became Tsing Yi Estate and the remainder became temporary housing areas, which were later demolished.

Tsing Yi Lutheran Village (Chinese: 信義新村) is a village on Tsing Yi Island. It locates near Chung Mei Village.

Tsing Yi Fire Station (Chinese: 青衣消防局) is the first fire station on the Tsing Yi Island, New Territories, Hong Kong. Located at the T-junction of Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui Road and Cheung Wan Street on east side of the island, the station was once the sole station to cater the need for the rapid increase of population since late 1970s and the oil storage and heavy industries in the south and west. To relieve the burden of the station, a new station, Tsing Yi South Fire Station, was established in the southwest at Tsing Yi Road near Nam Wan, handling fire for industries and increasing number of oil depot. The fire station is located between Tsing Yi Police Station, Chung Mei Road Temporary Playground, a telephone exchange of PCCW and under a Tin Hau Temple. Apart from the main building of the station, it also had a drill tower and a foam store.

Tsing Yi Public Library (Chinese: 青衣公共圖書館) is a public library on Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. It is classified as Major District / District Libraries under the system of Hong Kong Public Libraries. Before the library was established, Hong Kong Government provided the islanders with only mobile library service.

Tsing Yi Municipal Services Building, also known as Tsing Yi Complex, formerly Tsing Yi Regional Council Complex, is a multi-purpose municipal building for the Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. It was built by the former Regional Council. The building hosts Tsing Yi Public Library, Tsing Yi Indoor Recreation Centre, Tsing Yi Market, and offices for Hong Kong Government.

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals S. C. Gaw Memorial College (Chinese: 東華三院吳祥川紀念中學) is a secondary school on Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. The school is surrounded by four resited villages, Tai Wong Ha, Yim Tin Kok, Lam Tin, and San Uk. The College is a co-educational school, accepting both boys and girls. The majority of students are residents on the island though there are many students from other parts of Hong Kong. Established by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, a registered charity, in 1984, the school is dependent upon government funding. Instruction is given in English, Cantonese (oral) and Chinese (written).

Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui Road (Chinese: 青衣鄉事會路; Cantonese Yale: ching1 yi1 heung1 si6 wui2 lou6) is one of the oldest roads on the Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. It was built to connect Tsing Yi Town and Tsing Yi Bridge when the bridge was being built. The name "Tsing Yi Heung Sze Wui" derives from the local Cantonese pronunciation of Tsing Yi Rural Committee. After the reclamation of Tsing Yi Lagoon and Tsing Yi Bay, the road ended at Chun Kwan Temple. The office building of the Tsing Yi Rural Committee is very close to the temple, though it is on Fung Shue Wo Road. Tsing Yi Fire Station and Tsing Yi Police Station are also on the road.

Tsing Yi Estate (Chinese: 青衣邨) is a public housing estate in Tsing Yi Island, New Territories, Hong Kong near Fung Shue Wo Sports Centre and Tsing Yi Park. It is the only public housing estate on Tsing Yi Island which name does not start with the character Cheung (長). This is due to the fact that the estate was named in the memory of Tsing Yi Town (青衣墟), a traditional market town which was demolished in the 1980s to make way for new town developments. Since the estate was situated at the seaside of old Tsing Yi Town, part of it is built on reclaimed land. The estate consists of four residential blocks completed in 1986 and 1989 respectively.
