Klepp Station

Klepp Stasjon is a village in Klepp municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located on the shore of the lake Frøylandsvatnet, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) east of the village of Kleppe and about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) southwest of the village of Orstad. The village is named after the Klepp Station, a station on the Jæren railway line.

Frøylandsvatnet is a lake in Rogaland county, Norway. The 4.83-square-kilometre (1.86 sq mi) lake is located in the district of Jæren. It forms part of the municipal boundary line between Klepp and Time. The lake is quite shallow, with an average depth of 5.5 metres (18 ft). The town of Bryne is located at the south end of the lake. The villages of Klepp stasjon, Orstad, and Kvernaland are all located around the northern end of the lake. The origin of the name is from the Norse god Frey.

The station is located on the Sørland Line. The station is served by the Jæren Commuter Rail between Stavanger and Egersund. The station is 22.42 kilometers (13.93 mi) south of the city of Stavanger.

Stangeland is a borough of the city of Sandnes in the west part of the large municipality of Sandnes in Rogaland county, Norway. The small, 1.8-square-kilometre (0.69 sq mi) borough has a population (2016) of 7,560. The borough is located just southwest of downtown Sandnes.

Frøyland og Orstad Church (Norwegian: Frøyland og Orstad kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Klepp Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Orstad. It is the church for the Frøyland og Orstad parish which is part of the Jæren prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. This parish is unique in Norway since it includes parts of two municipalities: Klepp and Time, encompassing the whole Kvernaland area. The white, concrete church was built in a rectangular style in 2008 using designs by the architects René de Groth, Erik Thesen, and Kolbjørn Jensen who are from the firm LINK signatur. The church seats about 630 people.The church was consecrated on 14 December 2008. The church cost 62.5 million kr. The church is the first church in the Church of Norway to have a baptismal pool in addition to a baptismal font.

The Norwegian University College for Agriculture and Rural Development (Høgskulen for landbruk og bygdeutvikling (HLB)) is a small private university college in Bryne, Jæren, south of Stavanger, Norway. The rector is a rural anthropologist, Prof. Dag Jørund Lønning.

The larger Kvernaland area is an amalgamation of villages in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located along the north end of the lake Frøylandsvatnet. The village is located in both the municipalities of Klepp and Time (and a very small part extends into Sandnes municipality as well). The eastern part of the village (in Klepp) is also known as Orstad and the western part of the village (in Time) is known as Frøyland or simply as Kvernaland. The village of Klepp stasjon lies just southwest of the village on the west side of the lake and the small village of Foss Eikjeland lies just north of the village, along the river Figgjo.The 4.27-square-kilometre (1,060-acre) village has a population (2019) of 7,358 which gives the village a population density of 1,723 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,460/sq mi). About 2.58-square-kilometre (640-acre) of the village is located in Klepp and that part has 4,058 residents. There are 3,267 residents in the 1.31-square-kilometre (320-acre) part located in Time. There is also a very small part of Kvernaland (0.38 square kilometres or 94 acres) located in Sandnes municipality with 33 residents.Kvernaland is home to several factories, mainly producing equipment for agriculture. The largest is Kverneland Group, the world's largest manufacturer of ploughing and agricultural equipment. The Museum of the municipality of Time (Time Bygdemuseum) is also located in Kvernaland. Their football club is called Frøyland IL. The Øksnevadporten Station, located on the Jæren railway line, is located in Orstad. Kvernaland is a parish in the Church of Norway. It is unique in Norway in that the parish crosses municipal boundaries. The Frøyland og Orstad Church is located in Orstad, but it serves the whole village.

The Garborg Centre (Norwegian: Nasjonalt Garborgsenter) is an educational centre dedicated to the husband and wife authors, Arne Garborg and Hulda Garborg. It is situated near Arne Garborg's childhood home in the town of Bryne, Time municipality, in Rogaland, Norway.The centre aims to encourage people’s interest for the ideas and visions of the two important authors and members of society in Norwegian history. The centre will also encourage visitors to take a more active part in today’s society, and inspire them to read and develop their own creativity. It contains a roleplay, titled Strid about conflicts regarding language, identity and democracy. The center opened September 5, 2012.Garborg Centre is operated in cooperation with Jærmuseet, a museum organization aiming to inspire youth about science, technology and culture. Jærmuseet, which is headquartered in Nærbø, is also responsible for running several other local museum facilities in various parts of the district of Jæren. Jærmuseet is the regional science museum for the municipalities of Randaberg, Sola, Sandnes, Gjesdal, Klepp, Time and Hå.

Forum Jæren is a 65,5 meters (67,7 meters at the very top) high skyscraper in the city of Bryne, Norway. The tower has 20 floors and contains offices, meeting roms, and restaurants. The base area of the tower is 400 square meters.

Bryne (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈbrỳːnə] ) is a town in Time municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The city is the administrative centre of the municipality of Time and it is also one of the 50 largest towns/cities in Norway. Bryne's location in the region of Stavanger/Sandnes and its road and rail links have made Bryne a popular area for commuters. The city is expanding rapidly and there have been reports of problems with schooling capacity. Bryne Church is located in the centre of the city and Time Church is located 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) east of the city .Bryne is located on the southern shores of the lake Frøylandsvatnet, about 30 minutes south of the city of Stavanger by train. The 5.43-square-kilometre (1,340-acre) city has a population (2021) of 12,465 and a population density of 2,206 inhabitants per square kilometre (5,710/sq mi). The city's urban area crosses over the municipal border to Klepp Municipality, with 0.98 square kilometres (240 acres) and 1,800 residents living in the neighboring municipality.

The station is located 29.58 kilometres (18.38 mi) south of the city of Stavanger. The station has a staffed ticket window during weekdays. It also has vending machines for food and drink.

Time Church (Norwegian: Time kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Time Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Time, just a short distance east of the town of Bryne. It is the church for the Time parish which is part of the Jæren prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1859 using designs by the architect Hans Linstow. The church seats about 700 people.
