Villers-sur-Bar (French pronunciation: [vilɛʁ syʁ baʁ], literally Villers on Bar) is a commune in the Ardennes department in northern France.

The Bar (French pronunciation: [baʁ] ) is a river in the Ardennes department, northern France, left tributary of the river Meuse. It is 62 km (39 mi) long. Its source is near Buzancy, in the southern part of the Ardennes department. It flows through Brieulles-sur-Bar, Tannay, Chémery-sur-Bar and Cheveuges. It flows into the Meuse in Vrigne-Meuse, west of Sedan. For much of its length the river flows parallel to the Canal des Ardennes.

It is located in the Ardennes department, in the Grand Est region, northern France. It was created as Communauté d'agglomération de Charleville-Mézières-Sedan in January 2014 by the merger of the former Communauté d'agglomération Cœur d'Ardenne with 3 former communautés de communes and 12 other communes. Its seat is in Charleville-Mézières. The communauté d'agglomération was renamed Ardenne Métropole in January 2017. Its population was 122,016 in 2017, of which 46,428 in Charleville-Mézières.
