Alfeld

The Fagus Factory (German: Fagus Fabrik or Fagus Werk), a shoe last factory in Alfeld on the Leine, Lower Saxony, Germany, is an important example of early modern architecture. Commissioned by owner Carl Benscheidt who wanted a radical structure to express the company's break from the past, the factory was designed by Walter Gropius and Adolf Meyer. It was constructed between 1911 and 1913, with additions and interiors completed in 1925. Because of its influence in the development of modern architecture and outstanding design, the factory has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011.

The Leine Uplands (German: Leinebergland, ) is a region in Germany's Central Uplands which forms a part of the Lower Saxon Hills and lies along the River Leine between Göttingen and Hanover. It borders on the Weser Uplands in the west, the Innerste Uplands in the northeast, the Harz in the east and Untereichsfeld in the southeast.

The Sieben Berge ("Seven Hills") are a ridge of hills up to 395 m above sea level (NN) in the Lower Saxon Hills in the district of Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, Germany. Together with the Vorberge and the Sackwald the Sieben Berge belong to the geological formation of the Sackmulde. They are famous as a result of the fairy tale, Snow White.

The Steinberg is a small hill ridge, up to 300.3 m above NN, in the Lower Saxon Hills in the districts of Holzminden and Hildesheim in the German state of Lower Saxony.

Delligsen is a municipality in Holzminden district, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It consists of six localities which were independent until 1974: Delligsen itself, Grünenplan, Ammensen, Hohenbüchen, Kaierde and Varrigsen. The area is dominated by the massif of the Hils hills Delligsen itself has been an industrial settlement dominated by the Friedrich-Carls-Hütte ironworks which closed down in 1984. Grünenplan further up in the Hils is an officially designated climate health resort. It has three centuries of history in glass manufacturing and still has a Schott AG glass factory. The factory was founded in 1744 by the prince of Brunswick's government in order to produce large mirrors.

The Reuberg is a ridge, up to 328.2 m above NN, in the Lower Saxon Hills in the districts of Holzminden and Hildesheim in the German state of Lower Saxony.

The Vorberge ("fore-hills" or "foothills") are a ridge, up to 353 m above sea level (NN) high, in the Lower Saxon Hills and within the district of Hildesheim in the German state of Lower Saxony. Together with the Sieben Berge and the Sackwald, the Vorberge belong to the geological formation of the Sackmulde.

Eberholzen is a village and a former municipality in the district of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony, Germany. Since 1 November 2016, it is part of the municipality Sibbesse.

Brüggen is a village and a former municipality in the district of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony, Germany. Since 1 November 2016 it has been part of the town of Gronau.

Hoyershausen is a village and a former municipality in the district of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony, Germany. Since 1 November 2016, it is part of the municipality Duingen.

Everode is a village and a former municipality in the district of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony, Germany. Since 1 November 2016, it is part of the municipality Freden. The town was first mentioned in the ownership deed of Bishop Bernward of Avenigeroth in the year 996. In July 1965, the town voluntarily joined a joint community (Leine) alongside Freden, Winzenburg, Eyershausen, Ohlenrode and Wetteborn. On the 1st of March 1974, Meimerhausen was also added. On the 1st of November 2016, this joint community was dissolved and Everode became a part of the Freden (Leine) municipality. The village hosts a yearly tomato festival. Festivities include tomato flavoured ice-cream and a fresh tomato market.

The Külf is a ridge, up to 260 m above NN, in the Leine Uplands in the district of Hildesheim in the German state of Lower Saxony.
