Vly Mountain

New York's 19th congressional district is located in New York's Catskills, Hudson Valley, Southern Tier, and Finger Lakes regions. It lies partially in the northernmost region of the New York metropolitan area and south of Albany. This district is currently represented by Republican Marc Molinaro. It was one of 18 districts that would have voted for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election had they existed in their current configuration while being won or held by a Republican in 2022. Various New York districts have been numbered "19" over the years, including areas in New York City and various parts of upstate New York. The 19th District was a Manhattan-based district until 1980. It then was the Bronx-Westchester seat now numbered the 17th District. The present 19th District was the 21st District before the 1990s, and before that was the 25th District. The 2020 redistricting saw the district expand to include the entirety of Broome, Tioga, Chenango, Delaware, Greene, Sullivan, and Columbia Counties, while partially including Ulster and Otsego Counties.

Bearpen Mountain is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York. The mountain's highest peak is in Greene County, but its northwest subpeak at 42°16.42′N 74°29.05′W is the highest point in Delaware County at 3,520 ft. Bearpen Mountain is flanked to the north by Roundtop, and to the southeast by Vly Mountain. The northeast side of Bearpen Mountain drains into Little West Kill, thence into Schoharie Creek, the Mohawk River, the Hudson River, and into New York Bay. The west side of Bearpen drains into Batavia Kill, thence into the East Branch of the Delaware River, and into Delaware Bay. The south side of Bearpen drains into Vly Creek, thence into Bush Kill, Dry Brook, and the East Branch of the Delaware. Bearpen Mountain is well known for its trail system with miles of motorized and hiking trails. The mountain was host to a ski area in the late 1950s and 1960s, originally called Princeton Ski Bowl. Taking advantage of the mountain ridge's northeast exposure and high snowfall, the ski area operated until a land dispute forced its closure. Skiing at Bearpen was an "upside-down" affair, as skiers had to access the summit via a rough auto road. Remains of the lodge and early rope tow ski lifts are still visible in the forest around the mountain top. The mountain is still a popular location for backcountry skiing. From the summit to the valley below skiers can tally around 2100 vertical feet of glades and backcountry trails.

Maben Airport (FAA LID: N00) is a public-use airport located in Prattsville, in Greene County, New York, United States. It is privately owned by Dr. Wayne Maben, M.D. and was founded in 1948 by his father, Robert Maben. It is currently closed indefinitely.

Batavia Kill is a 21-mile-long (34 km) tributary of Schoharie Creek that flows across the towns of Windham, Ashland and Prattsville in the U.S. state of New York. Its waters reach the Hudson River via Schoharie Creek and the Mohawk River. Since it drains into the Schoharie upstream of Schoharie Reservoir, it is part of the New York City water supply system. From the source to Maplecrest, Batavia Kill drains the northern slopes of the Blackhead Mountains, which include Thomas Cole Mountain, Black Dome, and Blackhead Mountain, the fourth-, third-, and fifth-highest peaks in the Catskills, respectively. The Batavia Kill's 73.2-square-mile (190 km2) watershed accounts for 7.9 percent of the Schoharie Creek's watershed, and about 30 percent of the Schoharie Reservoir's watershed.

Roundtop is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York east-northeast of Roxbury. Hack Flats is located west-southwest, Negro Hill is located north, and Bearpen Mountain is located southeast of Roundtop.

Halcott Mountain is one of the Catskill Mountains of the U.S. state of New York. It is mostly located in Greene County, with some of its lower slopes in Delaware and Ulster counties. Its exact summit elevation has not been officially determined, but the highest contour line on the mountain is 3,520 feet (1,070 m). It is one of the peaks on the divide between the Delaware and Hudson watersheds. As one of the Catskill High Peaks above 3,500 feet (1,100 m) in elevation, a successful ascent of Halcott is required for peakbaggers seeking to join the Catskill Mountain 3500 Club. It is on public land, part of the Catskill Park Forest Preserve, but has no trail. Hikers bushwhack through the relatively open woods to sign the canister at the summit and prove their climb. It is considered one of the easiest of the 13 trailless High Peaks.

Halcott Grange No. 881, also known as Green Valley Grange, is a historic Grange building located at Halcott in Greene County, New York. It was built in 1889 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular gable-roofed structure. It features a prominent portico and cupola with Italianate brackets. It was originally built as a creamery and converted for use as a Grange after 1914.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The Halcott Town Board holds its meetings there, making it the town hall for practical purposes.

Halcott is a town in Greene County, New York, United States. The population was 249 in 2020, down from 258 at the 2010 census. The town is in the southwestern corner of the county.

South Mountain is a mountain in Greene County, New York. It is located in the Catskill Mountains southeast of Halcott Center. Brush Ridge is located southwest, and Halcott Mountain is located east of South Mountain.

Old Episcopal Manse is a historic Episcopal manse building on New York State Route 23, Main Street in Prattsville, Greene County, New York. It was built about 1845 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, cross-gable house type with Gothic Revival style features. It features board and batten siding and a steeply pitched gable roof. Also on the property is a carriage house, also built about 1845. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Zadock Pratt House, also known as the Zadock Pratt Museum, is a historic home located at Prattsville in Greene County, New York. It was originally built in 1828 as a two-story, five-bay Federal style residence. It was substantially altered about 1856 with the addition of numerous architectural details reminiscent of the romantic, picturesque tastes in mid-19th century America. It is a frame structure constructed of massive hemlock posts and beams over a stone foundation. It features broadly projecting eaves and a two-story portico supported by octagonal columns. Also on the property is the original well. It was the home of Zadock Pratt (1790–1871), founder of Prattsville. It has operated as a house museum since 1959. In 2011 the ground floor was damaged heavily by Hurricane Irene. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. To this day there still stands two Ginkgo trees (one male and one female) planted circa 1825 by Pratt. The trees were brought by Pratt from China.
