Halcott Mountain

Rose Mountain is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York northeast of Pine Hill. Monka Hill is located west of Rose Mountain and Halcott Mountain is located north.

South Mountain is a mountain in Greene County, New York. It is located in the Catskill Mountains southeast of Halcott Center. Brush Ridge is located southwest, and Halcott Mountain is located east of South Mountain.

Halcott is a town in Greene County, New York, United States. The population was 249 in 2020, down from 258 at the 2010 census. The town is in the southwestern corner of the county.

It lies partially in the northernmost region of the New York metropolitan area and south of Albany. This district is currently represented by Republican Marc Molinaro. It was one of 18 districts that would have voted for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election had they existed in their current configuration while being won or held by a Republican in 2022. Various New York districts have been numbered "19" over the years, including areas in New York City and various parts of upstate New York. The 19th District was a Manhattan-based district until 1980. It then was the Bronx-Westchester seat now numbered the 17th District. The present 19th District was the 21st District before the 1990s, and before that was the 25th District. The 2020 redistricting saw the district expand to include the entirety of Broome, Tioga, Chenango, Delaware, Greene, Sullivan, and Columbia Counties, while partially including Ulster and Otsego Counties.

Halcott Grange No. 881, also known as Green Valley Grange, is a historic Grange building located at Halcott in Greene County, New York. It was built in 1889 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, rectangular gable-roofed structure. It features a prominent portico and cupola with Italianate brackets. It was originally built as a creamery and converted for use as a Grange after 1914.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The Halcott Town Board holds its meetings there, making it the town hall for practical purposes.

Monka Hill is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York north-northwest of Pine Hill. Monka Hill is located east of Rose Mountain.

The Grand Hotel was a hotel located in Highmount, New York. It was built by the Ulster and Delaware Railroad in 1881 and closed in 1966. J. A. Wood was the building's architect. Sitting on the side of Monka Hill, it had 418 rooms overlooking the Big Indian Valley towards Slide Mountain.

Pine Hill is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in the western part of the town of Shandaken in Ulster County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the CDP had a total population of 275.

The former District School No. 14 building is located on Academy Street in Pine Hill, New York, United States. It is a concrete-sided frame building erected in the mid-1920s. It replaced an 1880s school on the site that had burned down. Architecturally it combines the Colonial Revival and American Craftsman styles, both popular at the time it was built. Its interior layout also reflects changes in school building standards issued by New York's Education Department in 1910 that ended the one-room schoolhouse era in rural areas such as that section of the Catskills. Classes were held there until 1960, when all the small local school districts in that area of western Ulster County were centralized. Afterwards it went through a variety of commercial reuses. Later it was transferred to the Town of Shandaken, which has converted it into the local historical museum known as the Town of Shandaken Historical Museum. In 1997 the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is located in the Pine Hill Historic District.

Morton Memorial Library is located on Elm Street in Pine Hill, New York, United States. It is a stone building in the Georgian Revival architectural style built at the beginning of the 20th century. It was named after a summer resident of the area who became a philanthropist later in his life. In 1997, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located in the Pine Hill Historic District.

The Ulster House Hotel, formerly the Wellington Hotel, is located on Main Street in Pine Hill, New York, United States. It is a large wooden Italianate-style building dating to the late 19th century, currently vacant and undergoing renovations. It is one of the few remaining hotel buildings from the peak era of Catskill resorts. In 2002 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Pine Hill Historic District is a national historic district located at Pine Hill, Ulster County, New York. It encompasses 125 contributing buildings, 3 contributing sites, 2 contributing structures, and 1 contributing object in the hamlet of Pine Hill. It developed between about 1800 and 1962 and includes notable examples of Greek Revival, Carpenter Gothic (Gothic Revival), Italianate, Stick Style, Second Empire, Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Classical Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed District School No. 14, Elm Street Stone Arch Bridge, Mill Street Stone Arch Bridge, Morton Memorial Library, and Ulster House Hotel. Other notable contributing resources include the John C. Loomis House (c. 1855), Methodist Episcopal Church (c. 1860), Benjamin Franklin Cornish House (c. 1860), Elizabeth Smith House (1876), Orchard Park House (1882), and "The Zepher" (c. 1895).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
