Bishop's Court railway station

Bishopscourt (previously known as Ballacurry, in Manx: the farm of McCurry or O'Curry) consists of a 17th-century mansion house, the St Nicholas (Private Chapel) in the Church of England Diocese of Sodor & Man, and the former estate of Ballachurry or Bishopscourt Manse. Previously the official residence of the Bishop of Sodor and Man, the current Bishopscourt House and estate are now in private ownership. Bishopscourt is situated north of Kirk Michael on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey road and is known as a historic point in the TT races, adjacent to the 16th Milestone road-side marker of the Snaefell Mountain Course close to the tertiary C19 Orrisdale Loop Road junction. The Bishopscourt Manse and the Bishop's Glen form part of the boundary of the parishes of Michael and Ballaugh. The bishop's Chapel of St Nicholas was the diocese's pro-cathedral from 1895 until the estate's sale in 1976.

Orrisdale North (Manx pronunciation: [oɾəsˈdðɛ(ː)il]) is situated adjacent the 16th TT Milestone on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey road with the nearby junction with the tertiary C19 Orrisdale Loop Road and D13 Bollyn Road in the parish of Ballaugh in the Isle of Man.

Rhencullen (Manx: ‘holly ridge’) (locally ) including Birkin's Bend is situated adjacent to the 17th milestone of the TT course, on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey road in the Isle of Man.

Birkin's Bend (previously Orrisdale South or Rhencullen) is situated adjacent to the 17th road milestone on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey road in the Isle of Man.

Alpine Cottage (Manx: Ballacurnkeil or the Narrow or small Ballacurn) including the adjacent Alpine House is situated between the 16th and 17th Milestone road-side markers on the Snaefell Mountain Course on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey road in the parish of Ballaugh in the Isle of Man. Alpine Cottage and nearby Ballaugh Bridge were part of the Highland Course and Four Inch Course used for the Gordon Bennett Trial and Tourist Trophy car races held in the Isle of Man between 1904 and 1922. Alpine Cottage is part of the Snaefell Mountain Course used since 1911 for the Isle of Man TT and from 1923 for the Manx Grand Prix races.

Ballacobb (in Manx: Ballacurn, the farm of McCurry or O'Curry) is situated between the 16th and 17th Milestone road-side markers on the Snaefell Mountain Course, on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey road at the side-junction with the tertiary U16 Slieu Curn Road, in the parish of Ballaugh in the Isle of Man. The distinctive S-bend at Ballacobb and the nearby Ballaugh Bridge were part of the Highland Course and Four Inch Course used for the Gordon Bennett Trial and Tourist Trophy car races held between 1904 and 1922. Ballacobb is part of the Snaefell Mountain Course used since 1911 for the Isle of Man TT and from 1923 for the Manx Grand Prix races.

Kirk Michael Railway Station (Manx: Stashoon Raad Yiarn Valley Keeill Vaayl) was an intermediate station on the Manx Northern Railway (MNR), which ran between St. John's and Ramsey in the Isle of Man, later owned and operated by the Isle of Man Railway; it served the village of Kirk Michael.

Ballaugh ( bə-LAF; from Manx Balley ny Loghey 'town of the lake', IPA: [b(alən)əˈlaf]) is a small village on the Isle of Man in the parish of the same name, in the sheading of Michael. It is the only village in the parish.The parish adjoins Jurby to the north, Lezayre to the east, Michael to the south and south-west, and the Irish Sea to the west. It stretches about 5 miles or 8 km from north to south: at the extreme southern end it includes part of Sulby Reservoir, and to the west, it includes part of Bishopscourt, the former house of the island's Bishop.

Douglas Road Corner (Manx: Cooilldarry – Oak Nook) or Kirk Michael Corner is situated adjacent the 14th Milestone road-side marker on the Snaefell Mountain Course on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey Road and the road junction with the A4 Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road in the parish of Michael in the Isle of Man. In 1879 the Manx Northern Railway built a narrow gauge railway from St.John's to Ramsey which ran parallel to the A3 and A4 roads from St. Germain's through Kirk Michael to Sulby Bridge. The railway line crossed a number of minor roads as it passed the Devil's Elbow, Ballacarnane Beg, Ballagawne and a 75 feet high railway viaduct at Glen Wyllin near to Kirk Michael.The Douglas Road Corner in Kirk Michael was part of the Highroads Course used for the Gordon Bennett Trial in 1904 and the Tourist Trophy for automobiles in 1905. It was part of the Short Highland Course as part of the Peel Loop used for Tourist Trophy automobile car races held in the Isle of Man between 1906 and 1907. From 1908, Douglas Road Corner was part of the Four Inch Course used for automobile racing between 1908 and 1922. The name of the course derives from the regulations for the 1908 Tourist Trophy adopted by the Royal Automobile Club which limited the engines of the competing automobiles to a cylinder diameter of four-inches. The Four-Inch Course was adopted by the Auto-Cycle Club for the 1911 Isle of Man TT Races. The Four-Inch Course was subsequently known as the Snaefell Mountain Course or Mountain Course when used for motor-cycle racing. It was also part of the 15 miles 1,470 yards St. John's Short Course used for motor-cycle racing for the Isle of Man TT Races between 1907 and 1910. The Douglas Road Corner was situated between the 6th milestone and 7th milestone on the St. John's Short Course, 345 ft above sea level. Also, Douglas Road Corner is part of the Snaefell Mountain Course used since 1911 for the Isle of Man TT and from 1923 for the Manx Grand Prix Races.

Ballaugh Bridge is located on the primary A3 Castletown to Ramsey road and adjacent to the road junctions with the A10 Ballaugh to Ramsey coast road and the tertiary C37 Ballaugh Glen Road in the parish of Ballaugh in the Isle of Man.

Ballaugh Station (Manx: Stashoon Raad Yiarn Valley Ny Loghey) was a mandatory stopping place on the Manx Northern Railway that ran between St. John's and Ramsey in the Isle of Man. It opened when the line was opened and was later owned and operated by the Isle of Man Railway; it served the village of Ballaugh.

Glen Wyllin is a glen in the Isle of Man. It is one of the officially-listed Manx National Glens. The Glen Wyllin Pleasure Grounds are owned by the Isle of Man Railway whose line crossed the valley by means of a viaduct, this area was once the site of much activity for the holiday maker and Sunday School tripper. The grounds at Glen Wyllin were developed in the late 19th century upon the arrival of the railway and included a boating lake, merry-go-round, attractions, and the beach which adjoins it. Today the site is still maintained as a camp site and features a shop, communal showers and toilets, and a children's play area, all dominated by the two towering pillars which once supported the viaduct carrying the railway line, but it is a shadow of its former self, having been a booming centre for leisure in the halcyon days of tourism on the island, still so fondly remembered by the local Sunday School children and the like. In 2015, the Manx Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture offered private bids for the Glen Wyllin campsite.In 2018, vandals broke into a trout-farming operation and closed a compression valve, killing over 4,500 rainbow trout. The trout farm closed and went up for sale in 2020.
