Queen Charlton

The Anglican Church of St Margaret in Queen Charlton, Somerset, England, dates from the late 12th century. It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building. It is within the civil parish of Compton Dando, but the ecclesiastical parish of Keynsham and the Diocese of Bath & Wells.The church was attached to Keynsham Abbey but also had its own collection of ecclesiastical buildings around 1200.The building was altered in the 13th century and restored in the 15th. It was originally cruciform, but only the north transept remains.The central two-stage tower is supported by diagonal buttresses, and is topped with a parapet with pierced arcading surrounded by pinnacles and gargoyles. It has a polygonal stair tower on the northeast corner. Beneath the tower at the crossing are four arches with attached Norman pillars.In front of the church is a late medieval cross on the village green. It was previously sited further east of its current location, but was moved as part of the celebrations for the Jubilee of Queen Victoria.

Broadlands Academy is a secondary school in Keynsham, Bath and North East Somerset, England. Formerly known as Broadlands School founded in 1935, the academy opened in December 2012. The school, which had specialist Science College and Engineering College status, has 603 students between the ages of 11 and 16 years, as of 2019.The academy is located near the north-west edge of the Bath and North East Somerset local authority area, and attracts many of its pupils from outside the local authority area. In 2006, 69% of pupils came from Bristol and South Gloucestershire. This led the local authority to consider amalgamating the school with the nearby Wellsway School, though in 2010 a decision was made not to proceed with this proposal.In July 2012, Justine Hocking (who worked alongside students and staff to ensure that the school would remain open in 2010) stepped down as head after working at the school for 10 years. Broadlands converted to an academy with the Academies Enterprise Trust in December 2012. Mr Dean Anderson took over from Richard Williams (interim head Sep – Dec 2012) as Headteacher of Broadlands Academy in January 2013. Mr James Hall was the head of the school from 2017. The Principal since July 2020 has been Miss Louise Hamilton.

Ironmould Lane is a cricket ground in Bristol. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1894, when Brislington played Peasedown St John. In 1969 the ground held its first List-A match when Somerset played Surrey in the Player's County League. The following season the ground held its final List-A match when Somerset played Derbyshire in the John Player League.Still in use to this day, the ground is the home venue of Brislington Cricket Club.

The Bridges Almshouses in Keynsham within the English county of Somerset were built around 1685. They have been designated as a Grade II listed building.The Almshouses were built by Sir Thomas Bridges and his wife Lady Anna Bridges (née Rodney) to provide accommodation for six widows and endowed a school for the town. This may have initially been for the widows of men killed in the Monmouth Rebellion. The terrace is made of three pairs of two-storey houses. They are constructed of limestone with moulded stone mullions over the two and three light windows, surmounted by pantile roof. On the front of the building are cartouches with the arms of Bridges and his wife.The Bristol Road in front of the almshouse has been built over the original gardens and the level of the road has been raised so that the doors and footpath are below the level of the carriageway.

The parish also includes the village of Belluton and part of the village of Woollard. At the 2011 census it had a population of 1,119.
