Clifton, Ohio

Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve, in Greene County, Ohio, is located three miles east of Yellow Springs, Ohio, and immediately southwest of Clifton, Ohio. The preserve constitutes 268 acres of gorges along two miles of the Little Miami River.

John Bryan State Park, in Greene County, Ohio, is a state park, of 752-acre (304 ha). It surrounds Clifton Gorge, a deep cut of the Little Miami River, between Yellow Springs and Clifton. The park contains a campground, and hiking and biking trails. The park also abuts the Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve and Glen Helen Nature Preserve.

Commemorating one of Cedarville's wealthiest nineteenth-century citizens, they have together been named a historic site because of their distinctive Egyptian-style design.

Springfield–Beckley Municipal Airport (IATA: SGH, ICAO: KSGH, FAA LID: SGH) is a civil-military airport five miles (8 km) south of Springfield, in Clark County, Ohio, United States. It is owned by the city of Springfield. It is named after the Beckley family, a member of which knew the Wright Brothers, and witnessed and photographed their first flights. Three units of the Ohio Air National Guard, including the 178th Wing (formerly 178th Fighter Wing) are based at the co-located Springfield Air National Guard Base. Springfield had scheduled airline flights, on TWA in 1948-50 and on Lake Central in 1953-55.

The Whitelaw Reid House is a historic residence near the village of Cedarville in Greene County, Ohio, United States. Built in the early nineteenth century, it was home to a prominent American journalist, and it has been named a historic site. The Reid House is a weatherboarded structure with a tiled roof. The present form of the house makes it an example of the Queen Anne style, although it has been substantially remodeled since its original construction in 1823. More ornate than the exterior is the interior of the house: the main stairway and some of the rooms feature decorative panelling and numerous other handcrafted wooden elements, and various types of wood can be found throughout the house. Due to their location on a small country road, southwest of Cedarville, the house and surrounding farm appear to be little changed from their appearance in the nineteenth century. The house was the birthplace and longtime home of Whitelaw Reid, a nationally known journalist, United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and Republican candidate for Vice President of the United States under Benjamin Harrison in the 1892 presidential election. During his years of living in the house, Reid greatly modified the house, and as a result it has been deemed a fine example of changing tastes in architectural styles. In 1973, the Reid House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While it qualified for the Register simply because of its architecture, its importance was largely derived from its close association with Whitelaw Reid. Since 1974, the Reid House is the home of Mike DeWine, who is currently the Ohio Governor, as well as a former Ohio Attorney General and former US Senator.

Cedarville is a village in Greene County, Ohio, United States. The village is within the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 4,257 at the 2020 census.

Cedarville University is a private Baptist university in Cedarville, Ohio. It is chartered by the state of Ohio, approved by the Ohio Board of Regents, and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Established in 1887, the school was originally affiliated with the conservative Reformed Presbyterian Church in North America, General Synod, now known as the Presbyterian Church in America. In 1953, it became affiliated with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches until 2006. Since 2003, Cedarville is affiliated with the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio (Southern Baptist Convention).

Cedarville High School is a public high school in Cedarville, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Cedar Cliff Local School District. Some notable things the school has accomplished recently are the cross country team qualifying for the state meet in 2018 and also 2019. The Boys Basketball team has won the OHC South in 2021 and 2024. The volleyball team won back to back OHC South titles from 2023-2024.
