Bözberg

Municipalities of Aargau

Bözberg is a municipality in the district of Brugg in canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It ceased to exist in 1873, when it was split into the two new municipalities Oberbözberg and Unterbözberg. On 1 January 2013 the former municipalities of Gallenkirch, Linn, Oberbözberg and Unterbözberg merged to form the new municipality of Bözberg.

Bözberg Pass (el. 569 m.) is a mountain pass in the Jura Mountains in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It connects the Frick River valley and Brugg and is the shortest road between Basel and Zürich. Two tunnels have been dug under the pass, the Bözberg Rail Tunnel for the Federal Railway and the Bözberg Road Tunnel for the A-3 Autobahn.

The Bözberg Road Tunnel is a motorway tunnel in Switzerland. The tunnel lies under the Bözberg Pass between Frick and Baden, in the canton of Aargau, and forms part of the A3 motorway from Basel to Sargans. It is 3,705 metres (12,156 ft) long, and was opened in 1996.The tunnel runs roughly parallel to the Bözberg Rail Tunnel.
