Norton Abrasives of Worcester, Massachusetts, USA is the world's largest manufacturer and supplier of abrasives for commercial applications, household, and automotive refinishing usage. Norton Company was founded in 1885 by a group of ceramists and entrepreneurs from Worcester, Massachusetts. The group set out to manufacture the first mass-produced, precision-made grinding wheel to fulfill the burgeoning U.S. manufacturing industry's growing need for abrasives.In 1990 it was purchased by Saint-Gobain of France. Norton specializes in the manufacture of abrasive products for applications in the autobody, construction, welding/industry, and marine/composite markets as well as for contractors and DIY consumers.

The Frances Perkins Branch Library, formerly known as the Greendale Branch Library, is a branch library in the public library system of Worcester, Massachusetts. It is located at 470 West Boylston Street, in an architecturally distinguished building, funded in part by Andrew Carnegie and built in 1913. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Greendale Village Improvement Society Building is a historic building at 480 W. Boylston Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built in 1897, it is an important reminder of the role community organizations played in making civic improvements in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Indian Lake, also known as North Pond, is a lake located in northern Worcester, Massachusetts. The water is brownish in color with a transparency of only five feet. The mean and maximum depths are 8 and 15 feet (2.4 and 4.6 m) respectively. The bottom is muck and rock. The shoreline is heavily developed with residential dwellings and commercial buildings.

The Odd Fellows' Home is a historic Odd Fellows charitable home at 104 Randolph Road in Worcester, Massachusetts. Opened in 1892, it continues to serve as a home for elderly and disabled operated by Odd Fellows Home, Inc. Its original campus, now demolished, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is now housed in a modern facility, opened in 1990, with 100 beds, located on the same property.

The house was built c. 1920, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a good example of Colonial Revival architecture from that period.
