Testrup Højskole (English: Testrup Folk High School) is a Danish Folk High School based on the philosophy of N. F. S. Grundtvig. It was founded in 1866 by theologist Jens Nørregård. The School is situated south of Aarhus in the small rural town of Testrup and offers curriculums in five subjects: music, drama, art, philosophy, and creative writing. The headmaster since the summer of 2017 has been Simon Axø.

Constantinsborg is a manor in Aarhus Municipality, Denmark which has existed since at least 1400. It is situated on the southern shore of Årslev Engsø, a newly created nature reserve and shallow lake extension of Brabrand Lake, in Viby J 10 km. south-west of Aarhus. The manor and estate are privately owned today and ran as a farm. Constantinsborg was originally known as Stadsgaard but was later renamed after Constantin Marselis who owned the estate in the 1600s. In the 1800s the Pontoppidan family owned the estate and came to have a large impact on Danish agriculture and the transformation of the Jutland moors into agricultural land. The current main manor building was constructed in the early 1800s while adjoining farm buildings date back to 1870 and the 20th century.

Vilhelmsborg is the National Equestrian Centre of Denmark and a listed building in Aarhus Municipality. The main manor building was completed in 1842 and was listed by the Danish Heritage Agency on 3 March 1945. The manor lies 10 km. south of Aarhus, by Beder-Malling in Mårslet Parish, and is today owned by Aarhus Municipality along with 288 hectares of adjoining land. In the 19th century H. C. Andersen lived on the Vilhelmsborg estate on several occasions and some of his fairy tales are said to have been inspired by the view of Mols from his window. Johan Skjoldborg also frequented the estate and his novel Gyldholm depicts the hardships of farm hands by the end of the 19th century.

Tranbjerg Church is a church in Aarhus, Denmark, situated in the suburb Tranbjerg, 9 kilometers south-west of Aarhus city center, on the old country road between Aarhus and Horsens. Tranbjerg Church is from the 1100s, erected as a typical Danish Romanesque village church. Later additions in the 15th century added a Gothic tower and porch. Tranbjerg Church is the only church in Tranbjerg pastorate and Parish, with 7.414 members of the Church of Denmark living in Tranbjerg Parish on 1 January 2016. Tranbjerg Church is devoted to St. Ursula and the 11,000 virgin handmaidens.Tranbjerg Church is a Green Church (Grøn Kirke). Green Churches are a network of Danish churches dedicated to implement and further an environmentally friendly operation and climate actions in response to the current climate crisis. The network agenda was established by the National Council of Churches in Denmark (NCCD) in 2011.

Aarhus Educational Centre for Agriculture (Danish: Jordbrugets UddannelsesCenter Århus) is a school of secondary education in Aarhus, Denmark. The school functions as an economically independent institution subordinated to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education and offers vocational training in farming, gardening, forestry, zoo keeping, floristry and agricultural management.The school is spread out over 4 locations in Beder, Malling, Vejlby and Bredballegård. Beder is home to the gardening, floristry and forestry and nature technician programmes. Bredballegård is home to the zoo keeping, farming and agricultural vehicle licensing programmes. Vejlby is home to the agricultural management programme and Malling is home to the horse training and riding programmes.

Holme Church (Danish: Holme Kirke) is a church located in Holme Parish in Aarhus, Denmark in the neighbourhood Højbjerg, south of Midtbyen. The church is today a parish church within the Church of Denmark, serving a parish population of 10.296 (2015). The Holme pastorate is shared with the Lyseng Church to the south.

Lyseng Church (Danish: Lyseng Kirke) is a church in Aarhus, Denmark. The church is situated in the Højbjerg neighborhood in on Bushøjvej by Ring 2 in the southern suburbs of Aarhus. Lyseng Church is a part of the Church of Denmark, the Danish state church, and is a shared secondary church to Holme Parish and Skåde Parish, officially under Holme pastorate along with Holme Church.Lyseng Church is an expansion of the former Eastern Chapel (Danish: Østre Kapel) which had sat unused on the site for 40 years. Holme and Skåde Parish are two of the largest parishes in the Diocese of Aarhus, each with some 11.000 parish members, and the diocese planned to split the parishes. The parish councils objected to the plan and instead suggested the creation of a third church in order to lessen the burden on the existing churches. The decision was made in 2007 in a joint agreement between the two parishes and the diocese and the restoration was completed in 2010 with the first sermon being held in February of that year.The original chapel was constructed in 1913 in Romanesque style, with a base of natural stone and a superstructure of brick. The chapel was built between the villages of Holme and Skåde to serve a joint cemetery. In 1951 the chapel was made redundant when Holme Church got its own cemetery and services at the chapel was reduced until it was eventually closed down entirely.

Rosenhøj (lit.: Rose-hill) is a public housing project in Viby J, a southern district of Aarhus, Denmark. Rosenhøj consists of concrete apartment blocks, with a total of 808 rentals, built in 1967-70. The area underwent a thorough renovation in the years 2014-17, updating the buildings to contemporary climate regulations, and also adding 22 new rowhouse rentals and outdoor sports facilities among other improvements.In the 2000's, Rosenhøj has been increasingly attractive to immigrants. In 2001, 22% of the inhabitants where immigrants; in 2008 more than 52% where immigrants. Nearly all of the inhabitants under the age of 18 has an immigrant background. The majority of immigrants in Rosenhøj comes from Afghanistan, Somalia and Turkey.

Skåde is a neighbourhood of Højbjerg, a southern district of Aarhus in Denmark. It is located 6 km south from the city centre. Skåde is the highest lying area in Aarhus municipality, with hills like Jelshøj (128 metres) and Søsterhøj (112 metres).

Ring 2, or Ringvejen, is the outermost ring road surrounding the city of Aarhus in Denmark.
