Moesgaard Museum

Moesgård is a former manor house and a listed building in Aarhus Municipality. The current buildings were completed in 1778 and was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 17 July 1918.The manor and estate is situated in the district of Højbjerg, 10 kilometers south of the city centre of Aarhus. Administratively it belongs to the Mårslet Parish and is today owned by Moesgård Museum. The museum cooperates with the School of Culture and Society from Aarhus University on the subjects of history, archaeology, anthropology and oriental studies with most teaching and lectures being held in the manor buildings. In 2013 the university took over the buildings when a new museum building was completed and most activities related to the museum moved there.

Moesgård Forest Mill (Danish: Moesgård Skovmølle or just Danish: Skovmøllen) is a mill and a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The mill was built in 1785 and was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 13 April 1984. The mill is situated in the Marselisborg Forests just south of the suburb Skåde and Moesgård Museum, some 6 km. south of Aarhus city center.

Marselisborg Forests (Danish: Marselisborgskovene), or simply Marselisborg Forest, is a 550 hectares (1,400 acres) forest to the south of Aarhus City in the Kingdom of Denmark. Many present day sources now includes the forest of Fløjstrup, as part of the Marselisborg Forests, upping the total area with another 200 hectares (490 acres). Marselisborg Forests runs along the coastline of the Aarhus Bay in a hilly terrain with steep slopes and deep gullies, especially at the shoreline. There are many traces of prehistoric activities here and the landscape have been covered by woodlands for thousands of years.

Telecommunication Tower Aarhus (Danish Søsterhøj Antennen, Søsterhøj Senderen or simply Søsterhøj), is a radio and television transmission tower in Aarhus, Denmark. It is the main transmission antenna in all of Aarhus. The tower is situated on the top of the hill of Søsterhøj (112 metres above sea level) in the neighbourhood of Skåde, in the district of Højbjerg. The construction of Telecommunication Tower Aarhus began in 1956, and it was finished later that same year. The tower and mast reach 216 m tall, with the tower itself at 65 metres. Telecommunication Tower Aarhus has been noted worldwide for its relatively unusual use of concrete as a construction material for the tower supporting the long wired mast.

Beder is a town with a population of 4,372 (9 January 2012) in Jutland in Denmark. Some consider Beder & the neighbouring town of Malling as one urban area. DST has since 2012 considered the towns one urban area making it the 84th largest in Denmark with a total population of 8,898 in 2020.The town shares a sporting complex with neighbouring town Malling called Egelund, where the team BMI (Beder Malling Idrætsforening) plays their football, handball, basketball, etc., matches. Beder-Malling is located in the southernmost part of Århus Municipality bordering the Kattegat. The area is divided into 2 parishes (postal codes 8330 and 8340) and comprises 7x7 square kilometres with approximately 9000 inhabitants. Both Beder and Malling supports a small train station and in the vicinity of the 2 main towns there are 9 smaller villages. Beder is the 3rd most densely populated area within the municipality (1. Aarhus, 2. Lystrup, 3. Beder). Beder is home to a division of Aarhus Educational Centre for Agriculture, offering gardening, floristry, forestry and nature technician programmes.

Giber Å is a 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) long stream in Aarhus Municipality.Giber Å and surroundings is a protected Natura 2000 site. The protection is mainly located in the Marselisborg Forests approximately 4 miles south of the city of Aarhus.

Ring 2, or Ringvejen, is the outermost ring road surrounding the city of Aarhus in Denmark.

Skåde is a neighbourhood of Højbjerg, a southern district of Aarhus in Denmark. It is located 6 km south from the city centre. Skåde is the highest lying area in Aarhus municipality, with hills like Jelshøj (128 metres) and Søsterhøj (112 metres).

Frederik's Church (Danish: Frederikskirken) is a church in Aarhus, Denmark. The church is situated in the southern Højbjerg neighbourhood on Hørhavevej. Frederik's Church is a parish church, and the only church in Skåde Parish, under the Diocese of Aarhus within the Church of Denmark, the Danish state church. The church serves some 11.000 parishioners in Skåde Parish and holds weekly sermons along with weddings, burials and baptisms.Frederik's Church is the last Danish church which draws obvious inspiration from the medieval architectural tradition; in the years following the Second World War architecture generally diverged in many different directions. The architect was Harald Lønborg-Jensen who also designed Åbyhøj Church. In the first years Frederik's Church was an annex church of Holme Parish and the first priest was also the priest of Holme Parish but Skåde Parish was created and got its own pastorate in 1949 when Holme Parish was divided. The church is named after crown prince Frederik, later king Frederick IX and the initials for the royal couple of the time is engraved in the front most benches.Frederik's Church had an adjacent building for parish council meetings and communal work added in 1973. Growing population through the 1950s and 1960s resulted in the church itself being too small for the needs of the community so it was decided to add a building specifically for other activities. The building was named Frederiksgården to follow the tradition of the church.Frederik's Church is a Green Church (Grøn Kirke). Green Churches is a network of Danish churches dedicated to implement and further an environmentally friendly operation and climate actions in relation to the current climate crisis. The network agenda was launched by the National Council of Churches in Denmark (NCCD) in 2011.

Deaconal University College (Danish: Diakonhoejskolen) is a folk high school and university college in Højbjerg; a southern district of Aarhus, Denmark.

Marselisborg Deer Park (Danish: Marselisborg Dyrehave) is a 22 hectares (54 acres) enclosed woodland area in the northern parts of the Marselisborg Forests. The trees are somewhat sparse here and the terrain especially hilly, compared to the surrounding forest. Marselisborg Deer Park is not a deer park in the original sense, as it is not meant for hunting deer. The idea is more like a small safari park, but just presenting a few common species, without exotic animals. Initially, sika deer were introduced to graze the curvy open woodland hills, but later roe deer and wild boars has been added. The park was established in 1932 and have since been enlarged several times. It is owned and administered by the Aarhus Municipality.

Aarhus Educational Centre for Agriculture (Danish: Jordbrugets UddannelsesCenter Århus) is a school of secondary education in Aarhus, Denmark. The school functions as an economically independent institution subordinated to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education and offers vocational training in farming, gardening, forestry, zoo keeping, floristry and agricultural management.The school is spread out over 4 locations in Beder, Malling, Vejlby and Bredballegård. Beder is home to the gardening, floristry and forestry and nature technician programmes. Bredballegård is home to the zoo keeping, farming and agricultural vehicle licensing programmes. Vejlby is home to the agricultural management programme and Malling is home to the horse training and riding programmes.
