Alt-Wiedikon

Wiedikon is a district in the Swiss city of Zurich. It corresponds to District number 3 and comprises the neighborhoods of Alt-Wiedikon, Sihlfeld and Friesenberg. Wiedikon was formerly a municipality of its own, having been incorporated into Zurich in 1893.

Zürich Binz (German: Zürich Binz) is a railway station in the west of the Swiss city of Zürich, in the city's Alt-Wiedikon quarter. The station is on the Uetliberg line, which is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU).The station is served by the following passenger trains: The station has a single track, with a single platform, although there is a dynamic passing loop between Binz and Friesenberg. Between Binz and Selnau, all Uetliberg line trains run non-stop, although they pass by Giesshübel station, on the SZU's Sihltal line.

Zürich Wiedikon railway station (German: Bahnhof Zürich Wiedikon) is a railway station on the Zürich S-Bahn system in Wiedikon in the western part of the Swiss city of Zürich. It is the only railway station in Switzerland where the reception building is located like a bridge across the tracks – in German called Reiterbahnhof. The station is served by S-Bahn trains on the Lake Zürich left bank line approaching the city from the south and south-east directions. InterCity and InterRegio trains and the accelerated S25 service bypass the station through the Zimmerberg Base Tunnel since 2003.

Zürich Giesshübel (German: Zürich Giesshübel) is a railway station in the west of the Swiss city of Zürich, in the city's Alt-Wiedikon quarter. The station is on the Sihltal line which is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU). Trains on the same company's Uetliberg line pass by the station without stopping, instead serving the nearby Zürich Binz station.The station is served by the following passenger trains:

Binz was a factory building squatted as a self-managed social centre in the district of Wiedikon in Zürich, Switzerland, from 2006 until 2013. The squat housed 50 people and provided workspaces for 100. From 2009 onwards, the city council wanted to evict and demolish the project. It was finally evicted in December 2013, resulting in riots.

Hürlimann Brewery is a former brewery in Zürich, Switzerland, now owned by the Rheinfelden, Aargau based brewery Feldschlösschen, which is owned by Carlsberg. Hurlimann was founded in 1836 by Albert Hürlimann, and its management was in the same family for five generations. Hurlimann was one of the principal brewing companies of Switzerland (the other big ones being Calanda Bräu, Feldschlösschen and Cardinal Brewery).The founder was a world leader in the scientific study of yeast, and the brewery had a long history of yeast development.

Zürich Friesenberg (German: Zürich Friesenberg) is a railway station in the west of the Swiss city of Zürich, in the city's Friesenberg quarter. The station is on the Uetliberg line, which is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU).The station is served by the following passenger trains: The station has a single track and a single platform, although the line widens into a two track dynamic passing loop on the opposite side of the level crossing on the downhill side of the station. This level crossing is notable as the Uetliberg line, electrified at 1200 V DC, is crossed here by route 32 of the Zürich trolleybus system, electrified at 600 V DC.
