Chestertown, New York

Chestertown Historic District is a national historic district located at Chestertown, Warren County, New York. It includes seven contributing buildings. It includes the Fowler Homestead and related outbuildings, the Church of the Good Shepherd (1884, addition 1954), Chester Town Hall, the Fowler cemetery, and centennial monument (1913). The Fowler Homestead is a Greek Revival style home constructed in the mid-1840s. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

North Warren Central School is a public PreK–12 school and school district in Chestertown, New York, the northernmost school district in Warren County. It serves students from Chestertown, Horicon, and Pottersville. North Warren is a relatively large school district in size, but a relatively small school district in number of students. The North Warren Central School District is an independent entity, governed by an elected board of education consisting of seven members.

Friends Lake is located south of Chestertown, New York. Fish species present in the lake are smallmouth bass, sunfish, largemouth bass, yellow perch, and brown bullhead. There is access at the inns and lodges around the lake.

Chester is a town in Warren County, New York, United States. It is part of the Glens Falls metropolitan area. The population was 3,086 at the 2020 census. The town is made up by communities of Chestertown and Pottersville. The town of Chester is on the county's northern border.

Brant Lake is a hamlet in the town of Horicon in Warren County, New York, United States. It is located approximately halfway between Albany to the south and Plattsburgh to the north.

Loon Lake is a wishbone-shaped body of water in Warren County, New York, USA. It is located within the Town of Chester, which maintains the beach. Fishing and boating are popular activities. Common fish species within the lake include pumpkinseed sunfish, walleye, rock bass, tiger muskie, yellow perch, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, northern pike, bluegill, common rudd and brown bullhead. The lake has its own marina, where boats may be launched and docked for a fee. It is possible to rent speedboats, pontoon boats, canoes and paddle boards. The marina has its own bait and tackle/quick mart. It is open from May to September. The marina is located off the lakes main road, Marina Road.

Palmer Pond is located southeast of Riparius, New York. Fish species present in the lake are tiger trout, brook trout, rainbow trout, and brown trout. There is a trail off Palmer Road on the south shore.

Horicon is a town in Warren County, New York, United States. It is part of the Glens Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. Horicon's population was 1,389 at the 2010 census.Horicon is on the county's northern border and is located inside the Adirondack Park.

Riparius is a hamlet in the Upper Hudson River Valley of Warren County, New York, United States. Riparius was formerly known as Riverside until the state changed the name to prevent confusion with several other places of the same name. "Riparius" is a Latin equivalent for "Riverside". Riparius is located within the towns of Johnsburg and Chester. Riparius is currently the terminus of the Upper Hudson River Railroad, a tourist train which departs from North Creek during summer months. The "Riverside Station" is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Riparius Bridge is a two lane truss bridge that carries New York State Route 8 across the Hudson River connecting Johnsburg, New York with Chestertown, New York. It was built in 2003, replacing a similar style camelback truss bridge that had been built in 1919. The new bridge was built to better accommodate vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians.

Riverside station is a historic railroad station located at Riparius, Warren County, New York. It was built in 1913 and is a one-story, rectangular (40 feet by 168 feet), hipped roof frame building with covered platforms at each end. A baggage room was added between 1915 and 1924. It was built by the Delaware and Hudson Railroad and embodies a Prairie School style design. It was also operated as a station for the Upper Hudson River Railroad scenic railway. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 as the Riverside Train Station.

Natural Stone Bridge and Caves is park with a system of eleven marble caves and karst formations, operated as a show cave located in Pottersville, New York. Visitors to the park can walk a trail which features the eponymous Stone Bridge Cave, advertised as the "largest marble cave entrance in the eastern United States", small caves, potholes, and various other karst features along Trout Brook.
