St Patrick's Catholic College is a coeducational secondary school located in Thornaby-on-Tees in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, England.Previously a voluntary aided school administered by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesbrough, St Patrick's Catholic College converted to academy status in September 2015 and became part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust when it was formed in September 2018. St Patrick's Catholic College offers GCSEs, BTECs and Cambridge Nationals as programmes of study for pupils.

Royal Air Force Thornaby, or more simply RAF Thornaby, is a former Royal Air Force Station located in the town of Thornaby-on-Tees, in the North Riding of Yorkshire, England. Fighter Command, Bomber Command and Coastal Command all operated from the base over its history, but its stint under Coastal Command is what the base was notable for, particularly in the air-sea rescue environment and the development of the Thornaby Bag. This was an emergency bag dropped to downed aircrew at sea and contained food, cigarettes and drink.

Acklam Grange School is a co-educational secondary school located at Lodore Grove, Acklam, Middlesbrough, England.The school opened in 1952 as Hugh Bell School – later becoming Stainsby School – and is currently Acklam Grange Secondary School (after Stainsby and Oaklands School amalgamated in 1983 the combined school was renamed Acklam Grange School). It educates pupils Year 7 through Year 11. The current headteacher is Michael Laidler.The school is one of the few in the area that has continued to be a part of the Building Schools for the Future programme after the announced spending cuts by the Government.The school received a Grade 3 (satisfactory) rating from Ofsted in 2012.Previously a community school administered by Middlesbrough Council, in July 2018 Acklam Grange School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by The Legacy Learning Trust.

The Church of St Peter ad Vincula, Thornaby, is an Anglican church in Thornaby, North Yorkshire, England. The structure, which is grade II* listed, is dated to the 12th century, replacing an earlier building on the same site. The church is noted for being the supposed baptismal location of Grace Pace, Captain Cook's mother. Historically the church was known as St Mary's, but was rededicated to St Peter ad Vincula after an early twentieth century renovation. It is sometimes referred to as the Old Church of St Peter, as the newer development of South Stockton, later known as Thornaby-on-Tees, had a new church built to accommodate its growing population.

Teesside Park is a retail and leisure park in Thornaby-on-Tees, built in 1988. Located just off the A66 near the A66/A19 interchange, it is split between the unitary authorities of Stockton-on-Tees (retail park) and Middlesbrough (leisure park) with the line of the Old River Tees, which runs down the middle of the development, forming the boundary between the two authorities. The development has a central building that was constructed in 2008.

The civil parish has no school so the ward includes parts of Hemlington including Hemlington Hall Academy primary.
