Gaspee Point is a small peninsula on the west side of the southern reaches of the Providence River in Warwick, Rhode Island. It is bounded on the north by Passeonkquis Cove and on the south by Occupessatuxet Cove. It is reached via Namquid Drive in Warwick. Gaspee Point was the site of one of the first acts of hostility in the American Revolution when the British Royal Navy vessel HMS Gaspee was grounded there on June 9, 1772 in what became known as the Gaspée Affair. The Gaspee was a revenue schooner locally detested for its enforcement of the unpopular Navigation Acts, and she was boarded and burned by a band of local citizens that night.The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Sabin Point Light was a lighthouse in the Providence River. It was removed as part of a channel-widening project in 1968.

The Pawtuxet River, also known as the Pawtuxet River Main Stem and the Lower Pawtuxet, is a river in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. It flows 12.3 miles (19.8 km) and empties into the upper Narragansett Bay of the Atlantic Ocean. Together with its two main tributary branches, the North Branch Pawtuxet River and the South Branch Pawtuxet River, it drains a watershed of 231.6 square miles (600 km2), all of which is in the state of R.I.

Pawtuxet Village is a section of the New England cities of Warwick and Cranston, Rhode Island, United States. It is located at the point where the Pawtuxet River flows into the Providence River and Narragansett Bay.

The Phillipsdale Historic District encompasses a historic mill village along the Seekonk River in East Providence, Rhode Island. The village grew up around the Richmond Paper Company Mill Complex, built 1883-1887, which is separately listed on the National Register. It also includes 75 units of worker housing, as well as five houses (the oldest of which dates to c. 1750) that predate the mill complex's construction. The Phillipsdale area was the largest source of employment in East Providence between 1893 and 1910. The district is centered on Roger Williams Avenue and Bourne Avenue, and includes properties on Ruth Avenue and the grid of roads between Ruth and Roger Williams. It also includes Omega Pond (the historic mill pond) and the Omega Pond Railroad Bridge.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Greene Island (also known as Greene's Island or Little Island) is a small island in Narragansett Bay, Warwick, Rhode Island. The island was named after Captain John Greene who purchased the island in 1642 from Native Americans as part of a larger purchase of 660 acres around Occupaspatuxet Cove. Occupaspatuxet means where “meadows cut through by a river,” and the area was also known as Greene's Hold. Chief Miantonomi was one of the Indian witnesses on the deed to Greene, which referenced the "little island." The Greenes were followers of Samuel Gorton, a radical Christian philosopher and theologian, who sought refuge in the Warwick area. Greene Island features shallow tidal flats and marsh grasses.

The Christopher Rhodes House is an historic house at 25 Post Road in the Pawtuxet village of Warwick, Rhode Island. The 2+1⁄2-story timber-frame house was built c. 1800 by Christopher Rhodes, a prominent local businessman and cofounder with his brothers of the Pawtuxet Bank. The house was probably one of the finest Federal style homes of its time in the village, and is now one of the few to survive from that time. It has a side-gable roof, and is five bays wide with a center entry. The entry is topped by a fanlight and moulded architrave, and framed by Ionic pilasters.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The John Waterman Arnold House, home to the Warwick Historical Society, is an historic house at 11 Roger Williams Avenue in Warwick, Rhode Island. Built in the late 18th century, it is a two-story five-bay wood-frame structure with a central chimney, and a two-story ell extending to the rear. The home has a fireplace in its cellar, suggesting this area was once used as a kitchen. The main entrance has 19th-century Greek Revival treatment.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. The property is now owned by the Warwick Historical Society, and is open to the public.

The Bullock's Point Light was a lighthouse in the Providence River. It was irreparably damaged by the hurricane of 1938 and was replaced the following year by an automated light on a steel tower.

Rhodes-on-the Pawtuxet is a historic recreational complex at Rhodes Place, on the Pawtuxet River in Cranston, Rhode Island. Originally consisting of a series of buildings, including a stateroom, pavilion, and waterfront facilities, today only a ballroom and gazebo survive. The ballroom is a Classical Revival building designed by architects John F. O'Malley and Harry A. Lewis and built in 1915, after the entire complex, except for the stateroom and gazebo, was destroyed by fire. The stateroom burned in 1977. The gazebo was built c. 1880, and has long been a local landmark, with trademark Queen Anne scrollwork and turned corner posts.These surviving structures were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Crescent Park Looff Carousel, also known as Crescent Park Carousel or more officially as Crescent Park Looff Carousel and Shelter Building, is a National Historic Landmark in East Providence, Rhode Island. The hand-carved carousel was built in 1895 by Charles I. D. Looff at his Brooklyn, New York factory and installed at Crescent Park Amusement Park in the Riverside section of East Providence, Rhode Island. The ride's fifty-foot platform contains sixty-one horses, one camel, two single coaches, and two double chariots. Fifty-six of the horses are jumpers. It is among the finest and least-altered of Looff's surviving carousels, serving as a showcase for his workmanship.

The Edgewood Historic District–Taft Estate Plat is a historic district in Cranston, Rhode Island that is bounded by Windsor Road, Narragansett Bay, Circuit Drive and Broad Street. The district represents the final subdivision of a country estate amassed by industrialist Orray Taft (1793-1865). It was laid out in 1904 and most of its residential stock was built between 1905 and 1930. The average size of the lots was 5400 square feet, although there was some variance in size, and a one-acre plot was reserved for the Taft mansion (demolished c. 1952 and the land subdivided). The houses are architecturally heterogeneous, reflecting all of the major styles of the period; some properties were designed by Norman Isham.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 24, 2003, and was enlarged in 2014 to include the southern part of Stillhouse Cove Reservation, a municipal park. The district abuts the Pawtuxet Village Historic District to the south, whose northernmost properties on Ocean Avenue were also laid out on the former Taft estate.
