The Wildwoods are a group of five communities (four distinct municipalities and one census-designated place) in Cape May County, New Jersey. These are situated on the Island of Five Mile Beach, a barrier island facing the Atlantic Ocean. These Jersey Shore communities have relatively small year-round populations that swell significantly during the summer with vacationers.While the communities have no shared governance (other than Cape May County), with each community reporting to a different local government, the term is often used to refer collectively to the area. All of the communities are part of the greater Delaware Valley or Philadelphia metropolitan area. WEZW (93.1 FM) is a radio station licensed to Wildwood Crest, New Jersey and serving the Cape May, Ocean City and Atlantic City markets. Its transmitter is located in Wildwood, New Jersey. The station is owned by Educational Media Foundation and is an affiliate of K-Love, a non-commercial Contemporary Christian network.

Wildwood Catholic Academy (WCA), formerly Wildwood Catholic High School, is a co-educational pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade Catholic school in North Wildwood, in Cape May County, New Jersey. The school operates under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden. The school opened in September 1948 with an initial enrollment of 80 students. Wildwood Catholic High School has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1956; the school's accreditation expires in May 2023.As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 139 students and 14.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.4:1. The school's student body was 82.0% (114) White, 8.6% (12) Hispanic, 5.0% (7) Black, 2.9% (4) two or more races and 1.4% (2) Asian.

West Wildwood is a borough in Cape May County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The city, and all of Cape May County, is part of the Ocean City metropolitan statistical area, and is part of the Philadelphia-Wilmington-Camden, PA-NJ-DE-MD combined statistical area, also known as the Delaware Valley or Philadelphia metropolitan area. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 540, a decrease of 63 (−10.4%) from the 2010 census count of 603, which in turn reflected an increase of 155 (+34.6%) from the 448 counted in the 2000 census. The summer population grows to as much as 5,000.West Wildwood was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 21, 1920, from portions of Middle Township.

Marine National Bank is located in Wildwood, Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The building was first built in 1908. In 1927 it was rebuilt and doubled in size. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 20, 2000.

J. Thompson Baker House is located in Wildwood, Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1909 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 31, 1996. As of the 2021–22 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 263 students and 31.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.5:1.

North Wildwood is a city located on the Jersey Shore in Cape May County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The city, and all of Cape May County, is part of the Ocean City metropolitan statistical area, and is part of the Philadelphia-Wilmington-Camden, PA-NJ-DE-MD combined statistical area, also known as the Delaware Valley or Philadelphia metropolitan area. As of the 2020 United States census, the city's population was 3,621, a decrease of 420 (−10.4%) from the 2010 census count of 4,041, which in turn reflected a decline of 894 (−18.1%) from the 4,935 counted in the 2000 census. North Wildwood is home to the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse.The city's beaches were ranked the fourth-best in New Jersey in the 2008 Top 10 Beaches Contest sponsored by the New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium. The Wildwoods Convention Center is a convention center and indoor arena in Wildwood, New Jersey. Built in 2001 to replace an older Convention Hall, the center has exhibition space of 260,000 sq ft (24,000 m2). The building includes the Oceanfront Arena, an indoor arena that can seat up to 7,000 spectators. It is owned by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and managed by The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA). The architect for the Convention Center is LMN Architects.

The Wildwoods is used as a collective term to describe four communities on the island with the name Wildwood attached to them: North Wildwood, West Wildwood, Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest. Also part of The Wildwoods are Diamond Beach and a portion of Lower Township on the island. The city, and the surrounding communities that share the name, derives its name from the wild flowers found in the area. Wildwood is part of the South Jersey region of the state.

Runaway Tram is a steel family roller coaster located on Morey's Piers' Surfside Pier in North Wildwood, New Jersey. The attraction replaced the aging Flitzer roller coaster and required the reconfiguration of several rides on the pier and represented a total investment of $4 million. Runaway Tram spoofs the Wildwood Sightseer Tramcar, a local yellow-and-blue trackless train service.

Hunt's Pier was an amusement pier located along the Wildwood, New Jersey, boardwalk from 1957 through 1985. Over its nearly 30 years in operation, Hunt's was home to many classic dark rides, roller coasters, and other attractions.
