Whale Rock

Camp Varnum is a Rhode Island Army National Guard training facility in the Boston Neck area of Narragansett, Rhode Island. During World War II it was Fort Varnum, a coastal defense fort.

Beavertail Lighthouse was built in 1856 and is the premier lighthouse in Rhode Island, marking the entrance to Narragansett Bay. The 64-foot (20 m) lighthouse lies on the southernmost point of Conanicut Island in the town of Jamestown, Rhode Island in Beavertail State Park, on a site where beacons have stood since the early 18th century. The light provides navigation for boats and ships entering Narragansett Bay in the East Passage between Conanicut Island and Newport, Rhode Island on Aquidneck Island. Other lighthouses are visible from Beavertail Lighthouse, such as Castle Hill Lighthouse, Point Judith Light, and Rose Island Light.

Beavertail State Park is a public recreation area encompassing 153 acres (62 ha) at the southern end of Conanicut Island in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. The state park's main attraction is the active Beavertail Lighthouse, the current tower of which dates from 1856. During World War II, the park area was part of Fort Burnside, one of several coastal fortifications designed to protect Narragansett Bay. The park's scenic shoreline offers hiking, picnicking, and saltwater fishing.

The Dunes Club is a historic private beach club at 137 Boston Neck Road in Narragansett, Rhode Island. The club occupies 28 acres (11 ha) of land fronting Narragansett Bay in central Narragansett, bounded on the north by the Pettaquamscutt River.

Narragansett Town Beach is a public recreation area encompassing 19 acres (7.7 ha) on the eastern edge of the town of Narragansett, Rhode Island, and south of the western passage that connects the Narragansett Bay to the open waters of Rhode Island Sound. The southern shoreline is rocky with a concrete sea wall constructed upland, while the northeast end of the beach is characterized by the entrance to Narrow River and Cormorant Point.The state beach offers picnicking, ocean swimming, changing rooms, surfing, and beach activities for approximately the first half mile of the beach, while the northeast end remains privately owned. The beach and dunes provide an important wildlife habitat for certain species of shorebirds, including piping plovers.

The Coast Guard House is an historic lifesaving station at 40 Ocean Road in Narragansett, Rhode Island. The station was built in 1888 by McKim, Mead, and White, during the heyday of Narragansett Pier as a summer resort community. It is a roughly oblong block, semicircular at its north end, with a steep slate roof that curves with the line of the wall at the north end. The building served as a lifesaving station from 1888 to 1946, and was converted to a restaurant in the 1960s. This resulted in the addition of a large dining area to the south and east, and the leveling of the floor in the boat storage area. The southern end of the second floor was damaged by fire in 1975.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Towers is a historic structure located at 35 Ocean Road in Narragansett, Rhode Island. It is the only remnant of the Narragansett Pier Casino built in the 1880s. On November 25, 1969, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The South County Museum is a non-profit museum in Narragansett, Rhode Island.

The Gladstone Springhouse and Bottling Plant is an historic water bottling facility at 145a Boon Street in Narragansett, Rhode Island. The springhouse was constructed in 1899 by T. G. Hazard, Jr. The bottling plant building may date from as early as 1911. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The springhouse collects the water of Gladstone Springs. It contains about seven and a half feet of water. It is a round stone structure, 30 feet (9.1 m) in diameter and standing only about 18 inches (460 mm) above grade, and is covered by a conical roof. A projecting gable-roof dormer contains the doorway to the building.Southwest of the spring house stands a two-story wood-frame structure with a large single-story concrete-block addition, which has seen a variety of uses. The first floor is believed to have originally housed offices, but has been converted to apartments. The upstairs appears to have always been an apartment, probably for the facility manager. The concrete block structure is where bottling and shipping took place.

The Greene Inn (also known as Green Inn or Greene's Inn) was a historic summer resort hotel at 175 Ocean Road in Narragansett, Rhode Island. The shingle style inn was built in 1887 to a design by William Gibbons Preston and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It was designed as a year-round facility in what was then a seasonal summer resort area, with steam heat piped to its rooms. It originally including facilities for stabling up to 100 polo ponies.The hotel closed in 1975.: p. 13-2  The inn was used as a set for the television film The House of Mirth in 1979.: p. 13–16  It was destroyed by a fire in 1980,: p. 13–18  and condemned in 1981.: p. 14-2 

Narragansett is a town in Washington County, Rhode Island, United States. The population was 14,532 at the 2020 census. However, during the summer months the town's population more than doubles to near 34,000. The town of Narragansett occupies a narrow strip of land running along the eastern bank of the Pettaquamscutt River (aka Narrow River) to the shore of Narragansett Bay. It was separated from South Kingstown in 1888 and incorporated as a town in 1901. The Central Street Historic District of Narragansett, Rhode Island is a historic district on both sides of Central Street from Fifth Avenue to Boon Street in Narragansett. It encompasses a collection of well-preserved summer houses built for the most part between 1880 and the 1920s, as well as the traditional civic core of the town. The area is characterized by smaller wood-frame homes, generally either 1-1/2 or 2+1⁄2 stories in height, set on small lots. It includes three church buildings (some still in use for religious purposes), all of which were built between 1870 and 1900, and the former Fifth Avenue School, which now serves as Narragansett's town hall.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
