Granica [ɡraˈnit͡sa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Strzegom, within Świdnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-west of Strzegom, 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-west of Świdnica, and 56 kilometres (35 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław.

Gmina Strzegom is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Świdnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the town of Strzegom, which lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) north-west of Świdnica, and 52 kilometres (32 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław. The gmina covers an area of 144.71 square kilometres (55.9 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 25,775.

The Battle of Hohenfriedberg or Hohenfriedeberg, now Dobromierz, also known as the Battle of Striegau, now Strzegom, was one of Frederick the Great's most admired victories. Frederick's Prussian army decisively defeated an Austrian army under Prince Charles Alexander of Lorraine on 4 June 1745 during the Second Silesian War (part of the War of the Austrian Succession).

It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Strzegom, 11 km (7 mi) north of Świdnica, and 52 km (32 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław. In the final stages of World War II, on 28 January 1945, a German-organized death march of Allied prisoners of war from the Stalag Luft 7 POW camp stopped in the village.
