Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport (ICAO: KFHB, FAA LID: FHB, formerly 55J) is a city-owned public-use airport located on Amelia Island three nautical miles (6 km) south of the central business district of Fernandina Beach, a city in Nassau County, Florida, United States. It is designated as a reliever airport for Jacksonville International Airport.Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport was developed as a training facility by the United States Navy during World War II, serving as Outlying Field Fernadina Beach (OLF Fernadina Beach) to the Naval Air Station Jacksonville complex. The airport was transferred to the City of Fernandina Beach in 1946 and is designated as a general aviation reliever airport for Jacksonville International Airport. It is occasionally used as a practice airfield by U.S. Navy helicopters from NAS Jacksonville and Naval Station Mayport and by U.S. Coast Guard and Florida Army National Guard helicopters from Cecil Field.

Amelia City is an unincorporated community in Nassau County, Florida, United States. It is located in the southern half of Amelia Island, on A1A near the Amelia River.

The Hippard House (also called Martha's Hideaway) is a historic site in American Beach, Florida. It is located at 5406 Ervin Street. On October 12, 2001, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Ervin's Rest (also known as the Louis Dargan Ervin House) is a historic site in American Beach, Florida. It is located at 5448 Gregg Street. On April 23, 1998, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

American Beach is a historic beach community in northeastern Florida once popular with African-American vacationers. It is located north of Jacksonville on Amelia Island in Nassau County. During the time of segregation and the Jim Crow era, African Americans were denied access to many public amenities such as public pools and beaches in order to increase the value of nearby real estate, among other reasons. In view of this Abraham Lincoln Lewis, Florida's first black millionaire and president of the Afro-American Life Insurance Company, founded American Beach as a community that was visited mostly by African Americans, though all were welcome. It contains the American Beach Historic District, a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Fernandina Beach High School is a public high school located in Fernandina Beach, Florida. It is part of the Nassau County School District and serves grades 9 through 12. Chris Webber is the school's principal. For athletics, the school's colors are blue and gold and its teams' nickname is the "Pirates".

The Fairbanks House (also known as the Maj. George R. Fairbanks House) is a historic site in Fernandina Beach, Florida. It was built in 1885 for George Rainsford Fairbanks. R. S. Schuyler was the building's architect. It is located at 227 South 7th Street. On June 4, 1973, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Built as a surprise for his wife, it was reported not to have gone over well and became known as "Fairbanks Folly".It operates as the Fairbanks House Bed & Breakfast.

The Amelia Island Museum of History is located at 233 South Third Street, Fernandina Beach, Florida. It houses exhibits focusing on the history of Nassau County, Florida and is situated inside the old Nassau county jail. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 18, 2009.

The Merrick-Simmons House (also known as the C.W. Lewis House) is a historic house located at 102 South 10th Street in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Fernandina Beach is a city in northeastern Florida and the county seat of Nassau County, Florida, United States. It is the northernmost city on Florida's Atlantic coast, situated on Amelia Island, and is one of the principal municipalities comprising Greater Jacksonville. The area was first inhabited by the Timucuan Indian people. Known as the "Isle of 8 Flags", Amelia Island has had the flags of the following nations flown over it: France, Spain, Great Britain, Spain (again), the Republic of East Florida (1812), the Republic of the Floridas (1817), Mexico, the Confederate States of America, and the United States. The French, English, and Spanish all maintained a presence on Amelia Island at various times during the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, but the Spanish established Fernandina. The town of Fernandina, which was about a mile from the present city, was named in honor of King Ferdinand VII of Spain by the governor of the Spanish province of East Florida, Enrique White. Fernandina has the distinction of being the last Spanish city platted in the Western Hemisphere, in 1811.According to the 2020 census, the city population was 13,052. It is the seat of Nassau County. It is also the largest incorporated city in the county since Yulee is an unincorporated town.

The Bailey House is a historic site in Fernandina Beach, Florida. It was built about 1895 and is located at 28 South 7th Street. On June 4, 1973, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The house was built by or for Mr. E.W. Bailey. It was designed by the firm of architect George Franklin Barber and is Late Victorian in style.The house is built of yellow heart pine and rests on brick piers. It has three-story turreted bays at the two corners of its front facade. It has wide-eaved porches on its south and east sides. It It has fish-scale shingles covering its gables, its front dormer, and part of the larger turret.

The Tabby House is a historic site in Fernandina Beach, Florida. It is located at 27 South 7th Street. On June 4, 1973, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. R. S. Schuyler, credited as the architect, is also listed as the architect of the nearby Fairbanks House, also built in 1885. Built in 1885 according to the Florida Department of State's Division of Historical Resources, the house is "...2 and a half stories, 2-story veranda with carved posts and brackets..." and is built from bricks made of concrete and local shells. Although lovingly referred to as "The Tabby House" by its owners and local residents, the building materials are not, strictly speaking, tabby, which is a mixture of lime, sand, water, and crushed oyster shells. This house is listed on the US National Historic Register and is a beautiful example of Victorian architecture.
