Bürs

Bludenz (German pronunciation: [ˈbluːdɛnt͡s] ; Alemannic: Bludaz) is a town in the westernmost Austrian state of Vorarlberg with around 15,000 inhabitants. It is the administrative seat of the Bludenz District, which encompasses about half of Vorarlberg's territory.

Prinzip Hoffnung (in English: Principle Hope or Principle of Hope), is a 40-metre (130 ft) long traditional climbing route on a thin crack up a conglomerate rock slab on the "Bürs plate cliff" (German: Bürser Platte) overlooking the village of Bürs in Vorarlberg, Austria. The route was greenpointed by Austrian climber Beat Kammerlander in 2009, and was one of the earliest traditional climbing routes to be graded at 5.14 R (American), 8b/+ (French), X/X+ (UIAA), or E9-E10 (British); it is still considered one of the hardest traditional climbing routes in the world.

The Alvier is a mountain stream in Vorarlberg, Austria. The Alvier flows through the Brandnertal passing through the municipalities of Brand and Bürs, where it discharges into the Ill. The waters have created numerous Kolks in the riverbed which are populated by river and rainbow trouts. The clear, torrential river has potable water quality. The stream feeds the 14 hectares (35 acres) large Alvierbad in Brand, an open-air bath which can be used free of charge with the Alpenregion Guest Card. Aquatic plants filter pollutants out of the water of the bath, which features especially in the summertime agreeable temperatures.

Bludenz railway station (German: Bahnhof Bludenz) serves the city of Bludenz, in the Bludenz district of the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg. It is owned and operated by the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). Opened in 1872, it forms the junction between the Arlberg railway and the Vorarlberg railway. The station is also a terminus of the Bludenz–Schruns railway (Montafonerbahn). Regional train services belong to the Vorarlberg S-Bahn, with the S1 service also being part of the Bodensee S-Bahn.

Bludenz-Moos railway station (German: Bahnhof Bludenz-Moos) is a railway station in Bludenz in the Bludenz district of the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg. Located on the Bludenz–Schruns railway, the station is owned and operated by the Montafonerbahn (MBS).

The Convent of St. Peter is an ancient Catholic cloister in Bludenz, Vorarlberg, Austria. It is run by the Dominican Order. The convent was founded in 1286.

The Alfenz is a river of Voralberg, Austria. The Alfenz is approximately 26 kilometres (16 mi) long and the main river in the valley Klostertal. It originates from the confluence of the Flexenbach and the Rauzbach near Stuben. and flows in western direction. The river's flow created the Klostertal. The Alfenz flows into the Ill 3.5 km (2.2 mi) east of Bludenz. Villages near the river include Klösterle and Dalaas. The S16 expressway (Arlberg Schnellstraße) runs alongside the river. The origin of the Alfenz is close to the European watershed. The Alfenz belongs to the Rhine basin, while across the Arlberg to the east the water flows into the Danube. The Alfenz carries rocks from the Northern Limestone Alps that crop out north of the river and the Silvretta Crystalline which crops out in the south.
