Gråsten

Gråsten Palace (Danish: Gråsten Slot) is located at Gråsten in the Jutland region of southern Denmark. It is best known for being the summer residence of the Danish royal family. The main house has a modern, all-white facade, with Venetian doors opening onto sweeping, manicured lawns and gravel walkways. The grounds include a huge stables court.

German submarine U-1168 was a Type VIIC/41 U-boat of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine during World War II. She was ordered on 2 April 1942, and was laid down on 16 March 1943, at Danziger Werft AG, Danzig, as yard number 140. She was launched on 2 October 1943, and commissioned under the command of Oberleutnant zur See Martin Grasse on 19 January 1944.

Rønshoved High School (Danish: Rønshoved Højskole) is a folk high school (Danish: Højskole) in southern Denmark on the northern banks of Flensburg Firth. It was founded in 1921 by its first headmaster, Aage Møller, who was inspired by the Danish philosopher and pastor N. F. S. Grundtvig. The school is general in the sense that it is not specialized but it offers a wide variety of intellectual subjects (history, religion, philosophy, literature, psychology, etc.), creative subjects (music, arts, writing, etc.), languages (Danish, English, German, French, Latin, and Hebrew), and sports (volleyball, badminton, kayaking, mountain biking, etc.). The classes are open to foreigners as well as to Danish students. The short courses (1–2 weeks) are only held in Danish, whereas the long courses are held in Danish and/or English. The Danish minister of culture and ecclesiastical affairs since 2015, Bertel Haarder, was born and grew up at Rønshoved High School.

Broager Church (Broager Kirke) is a church in the locality of Broager, Denmark.

Broager (Danish pronunciation: [ˈpʁoˌɛˀjɐ]; German: Broacker, South Jutlandic: Braue) is a town with a population of 3,277 (1 January 2023) in Sønderborg Municipality in Region of Southern Denmark, Denmark. It lies on the Broager Peninsula and is therefore surrounded by water on three sides, the waters of Flensborg Fjord leading into the Baltic Sea. The town of Broager lies in the middle of the peninsula by a major road, which leads to the Egernsund Bridge, which crosses over the Egern Strait to the Jutland mainland. The town's two-towered church is its most important landmark. The town was part of Broager Municipality until 2007 when it became part of the larger Sønderborg Municipality.

Glücksburg (German pronunciation: [ˈɡlʏksˌbʊʁk] (listen); Danish: Lyksborg) is a small town northeast of Flensburg in the district Schleswig-Flensburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and is the northernmost town in Germany. It is situated on the south side of the Flensborg Fjord, an inlet of the Baltic Sea, approx. 10 km northeast of Flensburg. The town was originally the home of the family Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (or simply Glücksburg), members of which have reigned in the past in Greece and several northern German states. Members of the family still reign in Denmark and Norway since 1863 and 1905 respectively. Glücksburg was home to a German Navy base. Among the facilities at the base is the transmitter, callsign DHJ58. DHJ58, situated at 54° 50'N and 9° 32' E, ceased its transmissions on longwave frequency 68.9 kHz in 2002 and in 2004 its longwave antenna was disassembled.

Sundeved (German: Sundewitt) is a peninsula on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in south Denmark. It lies between Åbenrå Fjord and Als Fjord to the north, Alssund to the east and Flensborg Fjord to the south. The westernmost part of the city of Sønderborg is located on the peninsula, while most of the city lies on the neighboring island of Als.

Broager Municipality is a former Danish municipality (Danish, kommune). The municipality covered an area of 43 km2, and had a total population of 6,290 (2005). Its last mayor was Jørn Lehmann Petersen, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. The municipality was established in 1922 by merging Egernsund and Broager parishes. The municipality escaped further municipal reforms in 1970 as its population was then over 6,000 inhabitants. However, Broager municipality ceased to exist due to Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was combined with Augustenborg, Gråsten, Nordborg, Sundeved, Sydals, and Sønderborg municipalities to form the new Sønderborg municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 499 km2 and a total population of 49,886 (2005). Broager Municipality consisted solely of the namesake Broager Peninsula

Ryd Abbey or Rüde Abbey (Danish: Ryd Kloster; German: Rüdekloster; Latin: Rus regis) was a Cistercian monastery in Munkbrarup that formerly occupied the present site of Glücksburg Castle in Glücksburg on the Flensburg Fjord in the Schleswig-Flensburg district of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
