The Xianxian Mosque (Chinese: 先贤清真寺) is a mosque in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China. It is the largest mosque in Guangzhou.

Liuhua is a subdistrict of the Yuexiu District in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, southern China.

Guangzhou TV Tower is a 217 m (712 ft) lattice telecommunication tower in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou with an observation deck, erected in 1991. A newer 618 m (2,028 ft) tower was completed in Guangzhou in October 2010, named Canton Tower that initially bore the name Guangzhou TV and Sightseeing Tower. It features observation decks on floors 107 and 108.

Yuexiu Hill, also known as Yut Sau Shan, Yut Sau Hill, or Mount Yuexiu, is located in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. It once formed the northern end of the old walled city, though most of the walls have been dismantled and the city has now expanded far beyond it. Its grounds now form Guangzhou's Yuexiu Park, which remains one of the most famous tourist attractions in Guangzhou, including beautiful natural surroundings and ancient sites. It covers an area of 860,000 square meters (9,300,000 sq ft).

The Triệu dynasty or Zhao dynasty (Chinese: 趙朝; lit. 'Zhao dynasty'; Vietnamese: Nhà Triệu; 茹趙) ruled the kingdom of Nanyue, which consisted of parts of southern China as well as northern Vietnam. Its capital was Panyu, in modern Guangzhou. The founder of the dynasty, Zhao Tuo (Triệu Đà), was a Chinese general from Hebei and originally served as a military governor under the Qin dynasty. He asserted the state's independence in 207 BC as the Qin dynasty was collapsing. The ruling elite included both native Yue and immigrant Han peoples. Zhao Tuo conquered the Vietnamese state of Âu Lạc and led a coalition of Yuè states in a war against the Han dynasty, which had been expanding southward. Subsequent rulers were less successful in asserting their independence and the Han dynasty finally conquered the kingdom in 111 BC.

Kuangquan is a subdistrict of the Yuexiu District in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, southern China.

The Zhenhai Tower, also known as the Five-Story Pagoda, is a tower in Guangzhou, Guangdong. It is located in Yuexiu Park, in central Guangzhou. It now houses the Guangzhou Museum.

Sanyuanli (三元里) is a neighbourhood in Baiyun District, in the northern suburbs of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Sanyuanli Subdistrict (三元里街道) was created in 1987 and covers an area of 6.8 square km, with a population of 85,000 residents, 20,000 migrants, and approximately 100,000 unregistered floating population.

Sanyuanli Station (Chinese: 三元里站; Jyutping: saam1 jyun4 lei2 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Sāam'yùhnléi Jaahm) is a metro station of Line 2 of the Guangzhou Metro. It started operations on the 29th of December, 2002. It is located at Sanyuanli in Baiyun District. It is adjacent to the Sanyuanli Anti-British Resistance Monument (三元里抗英纪念碑), Sanyuanli Coach Terminal (三元里客运站), Guangzhou Airport Expressway (广州机场高速公路) and Jingzhu Expressway.

Yuexiu Park Station (simplified Chinese: 越秀公园站; traditional Chinese: 越秀公園站; Jyutping: jyut6 sau3 gung1 jyun2 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Yuhtsau Gūng'yún Jaahm) is a station on Line 2 of the Guangzhou Metro that started operations on 29 December 2002. It is located under Yuexiu Park at the intersection of North Jiefang Road (解放北路) and Liuhua Road (流花路).

The Sanyuanli incident (Chinese: 三元里抗英事件) was a military conflict between regular troops of the British Army and an irregular force made up of Chinese militia and local citizens that took place around Sanyuanli village on the outskirts of Canton (now Guangzhou) on the 29 May 1841 after the Second Battle of Canton at the time of the First Opium War (1839–1842). Regarded by the British as a minor skirmish, to the Chinese it is regarded as a live example of a spontaneous uprising by the indigenous Chinese people in response to the actions of an actively aggressive invading foreign power since 1644.
