The Kivistö major region consists of ten districts: the central Kivistö, Lapinkylä, Seutula, Piispankylä, Riipilä, Kiila, Vestra, Luhtaanmäki, Keimola and Myllymäki. As of December 2021, the Kivistö major region has a total population of 17,410 and a population density of 240 inhabitants per square kilometre (620/sq mi). The Kivistö major region is the least populated—and the least densely populated—major region in Vantaa.

Königstedt Manor (Finnish: Königstedtin kartano or Swedish: Königstedt gård) is a historic manor house in Riipilä in the municipality of Vantaa, Finland, close to Helsinki. The mansion is located at the bank of the Vantaa river. Currently, it is used as a state guest house by the Finnish Government. It regularly serves as a venue for various meetings, negotiations and receptions.

Vantaankoski railway station (Finnish: Vantaankosken rautatieasema, Swedish: Vandaforsens järnvägsstation) is a Helsinki commuter rail station located in Vantaa, Finland. It is approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) north of the Helsinki Central railway station. The station is part of the Ring Rail Line (Kehärata) route, which links Helsinki-Vantaa Airport and central Vantaa with the Helsinki commuter train network. The station was the northbound terminus for the M commuter line from central Helsinki until 2015. The next station to the south is Martinlaakso, which was the northern terminus of the M line until the construction of Vantaankoski in 1991. The station has an island platform and local bus connections are available nearby.

Sanomala is a printing press of the Sanoma newspaper company located in the district of Martinlaakso in Vantaa, Finland. The press is used to print Helsingin Sanomat, Ilta-Sanomat, Hufvudstadsbladet and other newspapers of the company. Helsingin Sanomat alone forms over two thirds of the total printing volume. The press also prints minute amounts of newspapers from different companies. The surface area of the Sanomala press is 5.4 hectares. As well as the Sanoma newspaper company, the building also hosts premises for other companies in the graphics industry.

Martinlaakso (Swedish: Mårtensdal) is a district in Vantaa, Finland. Located in the Myyrmäki major region, it is the second most populous district in all of Vantaa, after Myyrmäki itself. In 2014, Martinlaakso had a population of 11,811, narrowly beating out Hakunila. Martinlaakso has two railway stations, Martinlaakso railway station and Vantaankoski railway station, as well as a medical center, several shopping areas, and a comprehensive school (lower level [6 years] and upper level [three years]) and an upper secondary school. It is the birthplace of former Formula One drivers Mika Häkkinen and Mika Salo. Former Formula One star Kimi Räikkönen also spent a part of his childhood in Martinlaakso. Martinlaakso was the home for Martinkeskus, which was the largest shopping center in the Nordic countries at the time of its completion in 1960s. Another shopping center in the area is Martinlaakson Ostari, which was completed in 2011.

Seutula (Swedish: Sjöskog) is a district in Vantaa, Finland, located inside the curve of the River Vantaa. Seutula is also a village in the medieval town of Helsinki, stretching to Rajakoski in the north, Lavanko in the east covering the whole district of Kiila, and including Sotilaskorpi in the south. On the other hand, the western part of the river's curve, including the Königstedt Manor, belongs to the village of Riipilä. Seutula is often considered a region stretching even outside the official district, and it has an active local community. In terms of government, Seutula, Riipilä, and Kiila belong to the Kivistö major district. In the early 1950s, a new airfield for Helsinki was built along the Seutulantie road, stretching from Tuusulantie in Ruskeasanta to Seutula. This airfield was opened in 1952, and became the Helsinki Airport in 1977. Already during its construction, the airfield was commonly called the Seutula airfield, because Tuusulantie had a sign pointing to Seutula. In reality, the airfield was built about 8 kilometres southeast from Seutula, in the northern parts of Veromiehenkylä and Kirkonkylä. Nowadays, Lentokenttä (Finnish for "airfield") is its own district in Vantaa. The name Seutula is often connected to prisons, although there never has been a prison in Seutula. The reason for the connection is that the airfield was mainly built using prisoner labour. Some of the prisoners used to build the airfield were public figures of the 1960s, convicted of driving under influence, bringing the activity to light. An open prison was located in Seutula until 2009. This prison was originally called a labour colony, and one of its inmates in the 1960s was Irwin Goodman, who had made records about the subject called Terveisiä Seutulasta ("greetings from Seutula") and Autolla Kanarian saarille ("to the Canary Islands by car"), with lyrics by Vexi Salmi.

Martinlaakso railway station (Finnish: Martinlaakson rautatieasema; Swedish: Mårtensdals järnvägsstation) is a Helsinki commuter rail station located in Vantaa, Finland. It is approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) north of Helsinki Central railway station. The station is served by circular lines I and P, and is between the stations of Louhela and Vantaankoski. There is an island platform; one side for northbound and another side for southbound trains. There is one lift and a waiting room, although it is not possible to buy tickets from the station. The local bus station is situated nearby. Prior to the construction of the station at Vantaankoski in 1991, Martinlaakso was the northern terminus for the M line (hence the name of the line). A shopping center was built next to the station in 2011.

The Luhtajoki is a 46-kilometre (29 mi) long river in Southern Finland. The river starts from Hyvinkää and flows as Kyläjoki into the church village of Nurmijärvi, where it flows 23 kilometers (14 mi) into the Klaukkala and from there to the River Vantaa where it connects. The Luhtajoki River is lush and its water is clayey. The river is subject to both point and diffuse loads. The loads are caused by, for example, sewage load and agriculture. There are extensive floodplains in the area. The river has been sprouted several times. The Luhtajoki River is classified as satisfactory and the River Kyläjoki as passable. The river is also quite demanding for canoeing due to its eutrophication and sometimes its low amount of water.

Myyrmäki Church (Finnish: Myyrmäen kirkko, Swedish: Myrbacka kyrka), is a Lutheran church in the Myyrmäki neighborhood in the city of Vantaa. It is located near Louhela commuter train station. The church was designed by architect Juha Leiviskä and it was opened in 1984. It is also known as the Church of Light. In Leiviskä's own words: "To me, a building as such, 'as a piece of architecture', is nothing. Its real significance is revealed in counterpoint with its surroundings, with life and with light."In addition to the actual sanctuary, the building houses a separate chapel, two meeting halls, the parish offices, and facilities for children’s and young people’s ministries. The sanctuary seats 450, but with the adjoining meeting halls the capacity is over 700.Vantaankoski Parish is one of seven Evangelical-Lutheran parishes in Vantaa with a membership of c. 30,000. Myyrmäki Church is the main church of the parish.The organ of Myyrmäki Church was built by Kangasalan urkurakentamo in 1986. The sound of the organ is mainly Baroque in style.Leiviskä has stated that when designing the church the ideal he had in mind was the Neresheim Abbey in Bavaria, southern Germany, the late Baroque church designed by architect Balthasar Neumann. The British architecture historian Kenneth Frampton has discussed this aspect of Leiviskä's church architecture, stating: "The Baroque churches of Southern Germany are the conscious inspiration for these (church) works, as Leiviskä openly concedes, even if the syntax could hardly be more removed from the plasticity of Balthasar Neumann. An indirect, hypersensitive play of light on a set of highly susceptible layered lattices and planes is patently the aesthetic modus operandi in these churches. And to this ludic game we must add the equally playful layering of lights miraculously floating at the ends of imperceptible cords..."

Louhela railway station (Finnish: Louhelan rautatieasema, Swedish: Klippsta järnvägsstation) is a VR commuter rail station located in Vantaa, Finland. It is approximately thirteen kilometres north of Helsinki Central railway station. The station is served by circular lines I and P, and is between the stations of Myyrmäki and Martinlaakso. There are two platforms serving both north and southbound trains, one lift and a waiting room. Many local bus connections are available nearby.
