Albertslund Municipality

Albertslund station is an S-train station serving the Danish capital Copenhagen suburb of Albertslund, west of the city.It is located on the Taastrup radial of Copenhagen's S-train network. It serves the core of Albertslund, a residential suburb built virtually from scratch in the 1960s and 1970s. The extensive residential areas in the northern end of Albertslund municipality are served by local buses from Albertslund and Glostrup stations.

Vridsløselille Prison (Danish: Vridsløselille Fængsel) is a former state prison located in Albertslund in the western suburbs of Copenhagen in Denmark. It was operated as a state prison from its opening in 1859 to January 2016 and then served as a special departure center for rejected asylum seekers with prison sentences until February 2018. The prison was used for the enforcement of imprisonment and execution of arrests and had a total of 241 inmates. The State Prison in Vridsløselille was a closed prison facility for men over the age of 23. It was replaced by Storstrøm Prison on the isle of Falster, which was opened in 2017.

Herstedvester Prison (Danish: Herstedvester Fængsel) is a prison in Herstedvester, Greater Copenhagen, Denmark, for treatment by the Danish Prison and Probation Service. It houses convicted felons and in some cases also people with custody rulings in need of psychiatric assistance and observation. Herstedvester was built in 1935 for the detention and imprisonment of psychopaths. Upon establishment, they were the first European prison to use a treatment method known as democratic therapeutic community. The institution has a capacity of 143 people in the closed section and 23 in the semi-open section.Greenlandic prisoners considered too high risk for the open-style prisons in Greenland all used to serve in Herstedvester. In 2019, Greenland's first fully closed prison opened in the capital Nuuk and Greenlandic prisoners in Herstedvester were offered a transfer. However, a large proportion have wished to continue serving their sentence in Herstedvester instead of Nuuk.Several notable inmates have for periods stayed at Herstedvester, including Abel Klemmensen, Peter Lundin and Peter Madsen.

Albertslund is a Copenhagen suburb in Albertslund Municipality, Denmark. It is located 15 km (9.3 mi) west of central Copenhagen, with a population of around 30,000. Albertslund is a planned community or new town mainly built in the 1960s and 1970s. The suburb is known for its experimental and innovative low rise urban planning, integrating water and green spaces in the architecture. Albertslund station is connected to the Copenhagen S-train system and has an open-air shopping centre, Albertslund Centrum

Vallensbæk Landsby is a village on Zealand, located in Vallensbæk Municipality in the Capital Region of Denmark.

Coop amba, formerly FDB (short for Danish Consumers Cooperative Society, in English) is a cooperative based in Denmark. The coop has 1.9 million members and three subsidiaries. The Coop Danmark subsidiary operates the retail store chains of Kvickly, Brugsen, SuperBrugsen, Dagli'Brugsen, LokalBrugsen, Fakta, Coop 365 and Irma supermarkets as well as the furniture company FDB Møbler. The last two subsidiaries comprise Coop Bank and Coop Invest.

Vallensbæk Municipality is a municipality (Danish: kommune) in the Capital Region of Denmark on Zealand. It is part of the Greater Copenhagen area and consist primarily of the suburb of Vallensbæk. It is one of the smallest municipalities in Denmark in terms of area. Vallensbæk Municipality borders the municipalities of Ishøj, Høje-Taastrup, Albertslund and Brøndby. It borders Køge Bay, and the Køge Bay Beach Park (Danish: Køge Bugt Strandpark) along the coast. The suburb of Vallensbæk consists of two sections, not directly connected to each other: Vallensbæk Nordmark in the north and Vallensbæk Strand in the south. The two parts of the town are commonly referred to together as Vallensbæk. The only other settlement in the municipality is the village of Vallensbæk Landsby. The municipality's mayor has been Henrik Rasmussen, a member of the Conservative People's Party, since 2010. The Conservative People's Party has held the position as mayor since the municipality's creation in 1970. Vallensbæk Municipality was not merged with any other municipality in the municipal reform of 2007.

Herstedvester Church (Danish: Herstedvester Kirke) is a church in the northwestern outskirts of Albertslund, Albertslund Municipality, Denmark. The church is dated to around 1100.

Ishøj is a Danish town with a population of 21,095 (1. January 2022). It is situated in the Region Hovedstaden, and is the seat of the Ishøj Municipality.

Ishøj Gymnasium was a secondary school located in Ishøj near Copenhagen, Denmark. The school was originally run by the County of Copenhagen, but was acquired by a private organization, CPH West, in 2007. When CPH West merged with Copenhagen Technical College to form NEXT Uddannelse København in 2016, the school was dissolved. Today, the campus is known as Sydkysten Gymnasium.

Ishøj station is a railway station on the Køge radial of the S-train network in Copenhagen, Denmark. It serves the urbanized coastal end of Ishøj municipality. The Greater Copenhagen Light Rail is expected to have its southern terminus at Ishøj station.

Herstedøster Church (Danish: Herstedøster Kirke) is a church in the northern outskirts of Albertslund, Albertslund Municipality, Denmark. In medieval times, the Romanesque church was dedicated to Saint Nicholas. The tower is of late-Gothic origin. The church interior was given a major renovation in 1994 by Alan Havsteen-Mikkelsen. In 1973, R. Smalley discovered frescoes dated to around 1175, probably the date of origin of the church. On 1 February 2009 a major fire broke out at the church.
