The 1976 LPGA Championship was the 22nd LPGA Championship, held May 27–30 at Pine Ridge Golf Course in Lutherville, Maryland, a suburb north of Baltimore.Betty Burfeindt won her only major title, a stroke ahead of runner-up Judy Rankin. It was her fourth and final win on the LPGA Tour.

The Eagle's Nest is a historic home located at Phoenix, Baltimore County, Maryland. It is a large fieldstone dwelling begun, it is believed, in the 1690s and completed in 1802 on part of a 2500-acre tract named "The Valley of Jehosaphat" by Richard Smith, Jr., who was granted the land by Lord Baltimore in 1684 in recognition of Smith's service as the first attorney general of Maryland. Smith's descendants owned the tract until Walter Dulany bought half of it in the 1720s and the other half about 20 years later.

Hampton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The population was 5,052 at the 2010 census. Hampton is often considered a subdivision of the nearby community of Towson and is located just north of Baltimore, about twenty minutes from downtown. Hampton contains residences situated on lots up to several acres in a park-like setting (current zoning limits density to not more than two residential units per acre). It is owned and operated by local sports media personality Nestor Aparicio through Nasty 1570 Sports, LLC.WNST was the first 24-hour all sports radio station in Baltimore. The station features local programming from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm. Monday - Friday. When the local programming is not on the air, there is a live feed of Fox Sports Radio. WNST ignited a debate in the Baltimore area by arranging a "Free the Birds" rally at Camden Yards to protest the ownership of the Orioles by Peter Angelos. The rally took place on September 21, 2006, during a make-up game against the Detroit Tigers.On March 30, 2011, it was reported that Jen Royle, a Baltimore sports reporter for WJZ-FM (105.7) filed a $800,000 defamation suit against Aparicio and two WNST hosts, Glenn Clark and Drew Forrester. Royle, who also worked for MASN, claims that Aparicio and the WNST hosts hurt her reputation with damaging statements about her professional and personal life. Aparicio's lawyer said the accusations are "baseless", and Aparicio denied wrongdoing in a blog entry. Royle later dropped the lawsuit.

Cromwell Valley Park is a public park just to the north of Baltimore City. The park initially opened in 1993, on 426 acres (172 ha) of rural farm land. It is primarily open fields, woods, cultivated gardens and orchards. The varied terrain provides an excellent habitat for local wildlife, particularly birds of prey which feed on large populations of mice, rabbits and other small mammals. Healthy populations of white-tailed deer, red fox and local songbirds can also be found throughout the park. Several miles of trails traverse the park making it popular among local hikers, birdwatchers and photographers.

Hampton National Historic Site, in the Hampton area north of Towson, Baltimore County, Maryland, USA, preserves a remnant of a vast 18th-century estate, including a Georgian manor house, gardens, grounds, and the original stone slave quarters. The estate was owned by the Ridgely family for seven generations, from 1745 to 1948. The Hampton Mansion was the largest private home in America when it was completed in 1790 and today is considered to be one of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in the U.S. Its furnishings, together with the estate's slave quarters and other preserved structures, provide insight into the life of late 18th-century and early 19th-century landowning aristocracy. In 1948, Hampton was the first site selected as a National Historical Site for its architectural significance by the U.S. National Park Service. The grounds were widely admired in the 19th century for their elaborate parterres or formal gardens, which have been restored to resemble their appearance during the 1820s. Several trees are more than 200 years old. In addition to the mansion and grounds, visitors may tour the overseer's house and slave quarters, one of the few plantations having its original slave quarters surviving to the present day.

Long Island Farm is a historic farmstead at 2200 Cromwell Bridge Road in Parkville, Maryland. The main house is a rambling multi-part building whose oldest part is said to date to 1764, when Isaac Risteau purchased the property. The main eastern block of the house is built of stone and is five bays wide, but shows evidence that it once consisted of several separate sections that were built separately and then combined. The western block is a modern 20th century addition. The farmstead was associated with the Risteau and Jenifer families for over two centuries.Long Island Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Loch Raven is a neighborhood extending from northeast Baltimore City to the eastern part of Baltimore County, Maryland. The major road in the neighborhood is Loch Raven Boulevard, which stretches all the way from the I-695 beltway in Baltimore County to 25th Street in Baltimore City. It is located in the Baltimore Metro Area, and is considered one of the longest roads in the area with many different aspects of Baltimore that can be seen by riding through the area. This region is a diverse, but predominantly African American part of the city and county, and is also the area that consists of a large amount of Morgan State University students.
