Blakeslee is an unincorporated community in Tobyhanna Township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, United States. Blakeslee is located at the intersection of PA 115 and PA 940. A post office was established in Blakeslee in 1884 and named after Jacob Blakeslee, the first postmaster. The post office was located near Burger Road near his 300-acre homestead. Jacob Blakeslee would later serve as justice of the peace for the small community. The Blakeslee United Methodist Church was established in 1897. The Blakeslee Diner used to be a restaurant in Blakeslee, but it burned down a few years ago. The Blakeslee flea market is popular with the surrounding community.

Holiday Pocono is a residential community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kidder Township, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The community is located on the north side of Pennsylvania Route 534, directly north of Albrightsville. There are two small water bodies in the CDP: Holiday Lake and Placid Lake. The western edge of the community abuts Hickory Run State Park.

Albrightsville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place which is located in Kidder and Penn Forest townships, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2020 census, Albrightsville had a population of 138. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Tunkhannock Creek is a 19.2-mile-long (30.9 km) tributary of Tobyhanna Creek in the Poconos of eastern Pennsylvania in the United States. Tunkhannock Creek joins Tobyhanna Creek near Blakeslee in Monroe County. U.S. Geological Survey Gauging Station 01447680 is located approximately 5 miles (8 km) upstream of this confluence.

Towamensing Trails is a census-designated place (CDP) in Penn Forest Township, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The community is located directly south of Albrightsville in the southern part of the Poconos, bordered by Pennsylvania Route 903 on the northwest, separating it from Albrightsville, and by Pennsylvania Route 534 on the northeast. PA 903 leads southwest 12 miles (19 km) to Jim Thorpe, the Carbon County seat, and north 7 miles (11 km) to Interstate 80 near Blakeslee, while PA 534 leads south 9 miles (14 km) to U.S. Route 209 and west through Hickory Run State Park 14 miles (23 km) to White Haven.

Pocono Lake Preserve is an unincorporated private development located in Tobyhanna Township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Pocono Lake Preserve is located on the north shore of Pocono Lake, south of Pennsylvania Route 940 between Blakeslee and Pocono Pines.

The 1983 Like Cola 500, the 10th running of the event, was a NASCAR Winston Cup Series racing event held on July 24, 1983, at Pocono International Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Like Cola, the sponsor of the race, was an unsuccessful cola soft drink that was distributed and sold through the United States of America from 1982 to approximately 1985. During the early 1980s, the NASCAR Winston Cup Series was plagued with top teams running big engines and finishing in third place to avoid inspection. Only manual transmission vehicles were allowed to participate in this race; a policy that NASCAR has retained to the present day.

Pocono Raceway (formerly known as the Pocono International Raceway in early years) is a 2.5-mile (4.0 km) tri-oval track in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania. The track has held a variety of events since its opening in 1969, including NASCAR, IndyCar Series, and IMSA GT Championship races. The facility is owned by Mattco, Inc. and led by track chief executive officer Nick Igdalsky. After over a decade of planning and construction delays, Pocono Raceway opened in 1969 under the control of David Montgomery. Montgomery quickly left any involvement with the speedway after him and investor Joseph Mattioli disagreed with the facility's future plans, with Mattioli taking over control of the venue. Under Mattioli's tenure, the main tri-oval opened two years after the venue's initial opening. Pocono Raceway initially faced heavy financial turmoil throughout much of the 1970s, but was able to recover starting in the mid-1980s with the success of its NASCAR races. Pocono Raceway received major expansion and upgrades in the 1990s and 2000s with the addition of seating and renovation of various amenities at the track.

Pimple Hill is a summit in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, United States, with an elevation of 2,198 feet (670 m). A surveyors' station of the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey was located atop Pimple Hill.

Hickory Run State Park is a 15,990-acre (6,471 ha) Pennsylvania state park in Kidder and Penn Forest Townships in Carbon County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The park is spread across the Pocono Mountains. The park is easily accessible from Interstate 476 and Interstate 80. Hickory Run State Park was chosen by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and its Bureau of Parks as one of "25 Must-See Pennsylvania State Parks".

Indian Mountain Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) in Carbon County and Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The Carbon County portion of the CDP is located in Penn Forest Township, while the Monroe County portion is in Tunkhannock and Chestnuthill townships. As of the 2020 census, the population of the community was 4,733. There are 3,262 single-family residential building lots in the community as of 2020 records.

District 11 (often referenced with the Roman Numerals District XI) of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) is an interscholastic athletic association in eastern Pennsylvania. District XI is one of the PIAA's 12 districts and comprises high schools mostly within the Lehigh Valley and a few surrounding counties. The district is broadly considered one of the most competitive high school athletic divisions in the nation with many of its athletes going on to compete in the Olympics and professional sports, including the MLB, NBA, and NFL. District 11 owns many state records for various athletic championships and milestones. Member schools are categorized by enrollment into classifications, differing in each of the various sports, including: A, AA, AAA, AAAA, AAAAA, and AAAAAA.
