Magnolia Cemetery (Mobile, Alabama)

Mobile National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located in the city of Mobile, Alabama. It encompasses 5.2 acres (2.1 ha), and as of the end of 2005, had 5,326 interments. It is an annex to the larger Magnolia Cemetery. Mobile National Cemetery is administered by Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida, and is currently closed to new interments.

Sha'arai Shomayim Cemetery, also known as the Reformed Temple Jewish Cemetery, is a historic Jewish cemetery located in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was established by Congregation Sha'arai Shomayim in 1876 after their previous cemetery, Jewish Rest in the adjacent Magnolia Cemetery, was filled to capacity. The cemetery is situated on 15 acres (6.1 ha) and is surrounded by a 19th-century cast-iron fence and live oak trees. The entrance is through an ornamental arched gate inscribed with the congregation name in Hebrew letters.

Ahavas Chesed Cemetery, is a historic Jewish cemetery located in Mobile, Alabama. It was established by the Ahavas Chesed congregation in 1898. It covers about 2 acres (0.81 ha) of land in a narrow strip that adjoins the Sha'arai Shomayim Cemetery.

Oakleigh is a c. 1833 historic house museum in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It is the centerpiece of the Oakleigh Historic Complex, a grouping of buildings that contain a working-class raised cottage, Union Barracks, and a modern archives building. The name for the estate comes from a combination of the word oak and the Anglo-Saxon word lea, which means meadow. The complex is within the Oakleigh Garden Historic District, the surrounding district and neighborhood being named after the estate.

The Burgess-Maschmeyer Mansion is a historic residence at 1209 Government Street in the Oakleigh Garden Historic District of Mobile, United States. It was built in 1907 in the Renaissance Revival style by noted Mobile architect George Bigelow Rogers. The residence was constructed for cotton factor Col. David R. Burgess. After his death in 1917, it was inherited by his daughter Ethel Burgess Maschmeyer. She bequeathed it to the Mobile Jaycees, for use as their headquarters after her death in 1973. It subsequently was transferred to the University of Mobile to be used as its President's home. In 2000 the mansion was reverted to use as a private residence. It is listed as a historically significant building by the Mobile Historic Development Commission.

The U. J. Cleveland House (also known as the Thomas Smith House) is a historic house located at 551 Charles Street in Mobile, Alabama. It is locally significant as an intact Gulf Coast Cottage with an unusual interior plan.

The Leinkauf Historic District is a historic district in the city of Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 24, 1987. It is roughly bounded by Government, Eslava, Lamar, and Monterey Streets. The district covers 1,100 acres (4.5 km2) and contains 303 contributing buildings. The buildings range in age from the 1820s to early 20th century and cover a variety of 19th- and 20th-century architectural styles.

The Oakdale Historic District is a historic district in Mobile, Alabama. Oakdale is located south of downtown, and developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It consists of 511 acres (207 ha) and about 1200 buildings, most of which are middle-class one- and two-story houses. Early development was closest to the trolley lines on Broad Street, Washington Avenue, Marine Street, and Ann Street. The houses reflect the nationally popular styles of their times, including Victorian, Classical Revival, Four square, Craftsman, and Minimal Traditional, and also local styles such as Gulf Coast Cottages (Miller–O'Donnell House). Several churches are also in the district, such as the Neoclassical St. Matthew's Catholic Church. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

The Oakleigh Garden Historic District is a historic district in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on 13 April 1972. It is centered on Washington Square and was originally bounded by Government, Marine, Texas, and Ann Streets. A boundary increase on 30 January 1991 increased the boundaries to Rapier Avenue, Selma, Broad, and Texas Streets. The district covers 1,453 acres (5.88 km2) and contains 288 contributing buildings. The buildings range in age from the 1820s to the 1940s with most in a variety of 19th-century architectural styles.

The Duffie Oak is a historic Southern live oak in Mobile, Alabama. Being approximately 300 years old, it is considered by scholars to be the oldest living landmark in the city. It was originally known as the Seven Sisters Oak for its number of large limbs. It was later renamed for former mayor of Mobile George A. Duffee, who lived nearby.The tree has a circumference at breast height (CBH) of 30 feet 11 inches (9.42 m), a height of 48 feet (15 m) and a limb spread of 126 feet (38 m). It was recognized by the National Arborist Association in 1977. The Alabama Forestry Commission recognized it as a famous and historic tree in 2003.
