Crystal Lake State Park

In 1893 (1893), the Conversion of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church was founded in Barton, Vermont, USA. The parish is under the guidance of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington. The church is usually called St. Paul's by parishioners.

The Crystal Lake Falls Historic District, also known as the Brick Kingdom, is a historic industrial and residential area in Barton, Vermont, United States. It is located along Water Street and Main Street, roughly paralleling Willoughby Brook, whose waters powered the area's industries. The King Block is a historic apartment house at 117 High Street, Barton, Vermont, United States. It was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on July 20, 2002. Built in 1870 and expanded several times, it is a well-preserved example of tenement-style worker housing of the late 19th century.

Barton Academy was a high school in the town of Barton and also served surrounding towns for over a century. The high school (the Academy) was replaced by the Lake Region High School on September 11, 1967. The Academy alumni continue to meet annually. They fund scholarships for graduates of Lake Region. The building also housed the town's grammar school.

Approximately a quarter of the town's population lives in each of the villages, and approximately half lives outside the villages. Only four other towns in the state contain two incorporated villages.The Nulhegan Abenaki Tribe, a state-recognized tribe, is headquartered here.

Crystal Lake is located near the village of Barton in Orleans County, Vermont, United States. It is a glacial lake 3 by 1 mile (4.8 by 1.6 km) and 100 feet (30 m) deep in places. Route 5 runs along the lake's western shore. Crystal Lake is in the northeastern section of the state of Vermont. The lake is owned by the state and managed by the Department of Environmental Conservation.Exotic species infestations are a concern, with an existing Eurasian water milfoil population, which is being addressed.The lake is a coldwater fishery. Lake trout are native and the current population is wild. There are rainbow trout (wild and stocked), yellow perch, smallmouth bass, rock bass, pumpkinseed, chain pickerel, longnose suckers, white suckers, and various minnow species.

WQJQ (100.3 FM, "Magic 100.3") was a 100-watt radio station broadcasting an adult contemporary music format simulcasting co-owned WGMT and was licensed to Barton, Vermont, United States. The station was owned by Michael Percy, through licensee Capital Broadcasting Associates, LLC.

Glover is the primary village and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Glover, Orleans County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 256, out of 1,114 in the entire town of Glover. The CDP is in southeastern Orleans County, along the northern edge of the town of Glover. It is bordered to the north by the town of Barton. Vermont Route 16 runs through the community, leading north 3 miles (5 km) to Barton village and southwest 19 miles (31 km) to Hardwick. The Barton River flows northward through the village; it is the southernmost tributary of Lake Memphremagog.

Lake Region Union High School, commonly known as Lake Region, is a secondary school located in Barton, in the U.S. state of Vermont. The school is operated by the Orleans Central Supervisory Union school district. The school serves students from Barton, Orleans, Irasburg, Albany, Brownington, Glover, Coventry and Westmore.
