The District Court of Maryland for Talbot County District Courthouse is located in Easton, Maryland. Jurisdiction of the District Court includes most landlord- tenant cases, small claims for amounts up to $5,000, replevin actions, motor vehicle violations, misdemeanors, certain felonies, and peace and protective orde with one judge, Hugh Adkins, presiding.

The Third Haven Meeting House is generally considered the oldest-surviving Friends meeting house of the Religious Society of Friends, and it is a cornerstone of Quaker history in Talbot County, Maryland.

The Talbot Resolves was a proclamation made by Talbot County citizens of the British Province of Maryland, on May 24, 1774. The British Parliament had decided to blockade Boston Harbor as punishment for a protest against taxes on tea. The protest became known as the Boston Tea Party. The Talbot Resolves was a statement of support for the city of Boston in the Province of Massachusetts Bay. The author of the Talbot Resolves is unknown. Speculation has been made that the author is Matthew Tilghman or a group of citizens that included Tilghman, Edward Lloyd IV, Nicholas Thomas, and Robert Goldsborough IV. All four were leading citizens of Talbot County, and they represented the county in a meeting of all of Maryland's counties held in June shortly after the reading of the Talbot Resolves. Within the next 14 months, statements or resolves were issued elsewhere in the colonies. The First and Second Continental Congresses met, and the American Revolutionary War began. A Declaration of Independence was made on July 4, 1776, and a new independent government for the state of Maryland was formed.

The Avalon Theatre is a historic theater located in downtown Easton, Maryland. Originally built as a cinema in 1921, The Avalon was billed as the "Showplace of the Eastern Shore." Today serves as the prime venue of the Mid-Shore area for performing arts, nationally and locally.

The Easton Historic District is a historic district that covers most of the core of the town of Easton, Maryland. The town is the county seat of Talbot County. The state of Maryland is nearly split by the Chesapeake Bay, and Easton is located on the east side of the bay that is known as Maryland's Eastern Shore. Although the town is part of the east coast of the United States, the region's history goes back to a time when Maryland was a colonial province of England. The Easton Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It contains approximately 900 buildings mostly built in the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries. Many of these buildings are residential, but the original business district, located on the west side, is also included. A notable exception to the continuity of the historic district and the construction dates is the original Quaker Third Haven Meeting House, which was constructed in the 1680s southeast of the main portion of the district.

Tidewater Inn is a historic hotel in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland, United States. It is a Colonial Revival brick, hip-roofed, four-story hotel with flanking three-story wings and an addition on the north wing. The original section was completed in 1949, with an addition to the north constructed in 1953. The floor plan of the original building is a flattened chevron shape. It served as the preeminent hostelry and community gathering place on the Maryland Eastern Shore during the time when new automobile-oriented transportation routes intensified the volume of visitors.The Tidewater Inn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Trinity Cathedral is an Episcopal cathedral located in Easton, Maryland, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of Easton. In 1980 it was included as a contributing property in the Easton Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Saints Peter and Paul School is a parochial, Roman Catholic, co-educational, day school in Easton, Maryland. It is located in the heart of the Eastern Shore. The school serves an area of seven counties. The High School shares a campus with the Elementary School but has its own principal, staff and faculty. It is run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wilmington and is the only Catholic High School on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Easton High School (EHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland, United States. It is one of two public high schools in Talbot County along with St. Michaels Middle/High School.

Ratcliffe Manor, occasionally misspelled as "Radcliffe Manor", is a Georgian colonial home completed around 1762 by Henry Hollyday. It gets its name from the "Mannour of Ratcliffe", which is one of the Maryland Eastern Shore's oldest land grants. The dwelling is considered one of the most distinctive plantation houses on Maryland's Eastern Shore, with a northeast facade on the land approach side and a nearly identical southwest facade on the river approach side. The entire property is included in the Maryland Historical Trust's Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties. A set of photographs of the estate, made in the 1930s and 1940s, is part of the Historic American Buildings Survey administered by the Library of Congress and National Park Service. The estate is located on the Tred Avon River in Talbot County near Easton, Maryland. During the War of 1812, a fort consisting of a six–gun artillery battery was constructed on Ratcliffe Manor property to protect the town of Easton from a river approach by British soldiers. Although Easton was not attacked, British troops landed further west in the county at least twice, fighting in small battles that became known as the Battle of St. Michaels and Second Battle of St. Michaels. The Hollyday family occupied the manor house for about 140 years. Former residents of the manor house include Richard C. Hollyday, secretary of State of Maryland; and Charles Hopper Gibson, a United States Senator. During the first half of the 20th century, Ratcliffe Manor was an agricultural and dairy complex. It was sold to diplomat Gerard C. Smith and his wife in 1945, and they restored the house and its grounds. The Smith family members began selling portions of the property in 1995. By the end of the century, plans were made to sell a portion of the manor grounds for development. Today, the privately owned plantation house still stands, separated by a wooded area from a planned community called Easton Village.
