Sölvesborg is a locality and the seat of Sölvesborg Municipality in Blekinge County, Sweden with 10,024 inhabitants in 2013.Sölvesborg is, despite its small population, for historical reasons normally still referred to as a city. Statistics Sweden, however, only counts localities with more than 10,000 inhabitants as cities.

Sölvesborg Municipality (Sölvesborgs kommun) is a municipality in Blekinge County in South Sweden in southern Sweden. It borders to Bromölla Municipality, Olofström Municipality and Karlshamn Municipality. The town Sölvesborg is the seat of the municipality. The present municipality was formed in 1971 when the City of Sölvesborg was amalgamated with the rural municipalities Gammalstorp and Mjällby.

Valjeviken is a village situated in Sölvesborg Municipality, Blekinge County, Sweden with 211 inhabitants in 2005.

Tredenborg is a smaller locality with a population of 120 inhabitants in Sölvesborg Municipality, Blekinge County in southern Sweden.Today, the area is populated mostly with summer cottages and a camping site. The locality had a ferry connection with Västra Näs, Sandviken and Sölvesborg until the mid-1950s, via Thors Brygga.

The Sölvesborg Bridge is a 760 meter long walk- and biking bridge over the Sölvesborg Bay Area in Blekinge. The bridge was officially opened on 25 May 2013.The bridge was constructed by the local company Stål och Rörmontage.In 2016, the bridge was named one of the eleven most spectacular bridges in the world by CNN.

Sandviken, together with the neighbouring town of Västra Näs, is one of the many minor communities and beaches of Sölvesborg in southeastern Sweden. Historically, this part of the Listerlandet was the first place to be inhabited, when the first settlers arrived to this part of Sweden in the Nordic Bronze Age, i.e., approximately 500. Finds from inhabitants here are at display at the museum of Sölvesborg. From here, the early settlers spread to other parts of the area, and Sandviken became a part of the surrounding farming settlements.In the early 20th century, Västra Näs was mainly reached via a ferry service from Tredenborg, just outside the central city of Sölvesborg. The ferry traffic was partially industrial and partially for the benefit of people looking to go swimming on the beaches. Today, Sandviken and Västra Näs form a largely summer residential area with only a few permanent inhabitants.

Gammalstorp, Sölvesborg is a minor community in Sölvesborg municipality, Blekinge, Sweden. Between 1863 and 1970, Gammalstorp was a municipality. In contrast to other municipalities of the time (e.g. Mjällby), Gammalstorp did not have a particular administrative centre. Instead, the functions were divided between the villages of Norje and Gammalstorp. The village has grown up close to the church, which was originally located on an island, in the former sound/lake of Vesan. Until the 1950s, the municipality had a number of distilleries

Ryssberget is a hill in the municipality of Sölvesborg, in the southeastern Swedish province of Blekinge. Ryssberget is made up of some of the oldest stone in Blekinge, so-called metavulcanites created about 1700 million years ago. As the ice age came to an end, the ice melted away creating the Baltic Ice Lake. This covered most of what is now mainland Blekinge and Scania. The highest level of the lake can be seen on Ryssberget and is called the highest coast line (Swedish: högsta kustlinjen). As the glaciers continued to melt, land began to rise and this created in turn what is now the Baltic Sea.

Ysane is a village situated in Sölvesborg Municipality, Blekinge County, Sweden with 212 inhabitants in 2005. It was its own municipality between 1861 and 1952. The community was built around the church, which stems from the late 13th century.

Vesan is a former lake in Sölvesborg, Blekinge County, Sweden. Originally Vesan was a strait. In the area between Ryssberget and Listerlandet, water from Hanöbukten flowed in and in effect cut off Listerlandet from the rest of the mainland. The sound was open to sail through until the 18th century, but increased growth of reeds made the opening too narrow.The area around Vesan contains the earliest evidence of human habitation in Blekinge, a small settlement dating to 9700 BC. Nowadays the former lake is farmland. The church of Gammalstorp lies on the small hill that formerly was an island.

Ivetofta is a village and a suburb of Bromölla, in Skåne County in southern Sweden. With a history going back to the 12th century, it was once a rural municipality in the former Kristianstad County. It lies on the eastern bank of Ivö Lake, between Ivö and the smaller lake Levrasjön. The Ivetofta Local Historical Society was founded in 1981 and as of 2013 has nearly 500 members.
