Park Abbey

Group T (Groep T) is a college (formerly hogeschool (college)) in Leuven, Belgium. The school was formed by a fusion of an existing school for technical (industrial) engineers and the Provinciale Normaalschool. Nowadays the school offers two main branches: The Engineering College: a Bachelor and Master in industrial sciences. The Teacher's College: a Bachelor of education.Apart from this, Group T has built a considerable reputation for adult education (social promotion). The school has always emphasized its independence from other educational institutions in Belgium. This is the main reason it has not joined the KHL (Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven) when that was formed. Group T is especially active in international cooperations with universities in China (Tsinghua University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing Normal University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Zhejiang University of Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University and more).Group T is a member of the association (grouping of universities and hogescholen) formed by the KU Leuven. In the academic year of 2013-2014 the Engineering studies at Group T was integrated in the KU Leuven.

The Haasrode Research-Park business and research park in Heverlee (Leuven, Belgium) with a total area of 136 hectares (336 acres), accommodates dozens of high-technology businesses, employing well over 5,000 people in total. International companies such as Siemens, Terumo, KLA Corporation, 3D Systems, Tomra, Nikon, Sony, NXP,... have important, often research oriented branches in Leuven. Next to these multinational companies, there are tens of innovative (KU Leuven) spin-off companies like Materialise, Easics, LAB Motion Systems, Soundtalks, The Kobi Company, Octinion,... as the nearby presence of the internationally renowned KU Leuven university (Europe's most innovative University) and UCLL generates a continuous flow of highly innovative companies. The park is located near the Brussels area and is very well connected to the airport. Divided in a research and science park and a business-production park, it houses an important variety of industries. Companies are attracted by the international research centre Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre, UZ Leuven, one of the largest academic hospitals in Europe and the KU Leuven university.

The western part of the former municipality of Korbeek-Lo is now a part of the city of Leuven, Belgium. As a result of extensive local government boundary changes in 1977 Korbeek-Lo, as a municipality, was abolished. Since then the more built up western part of Korbeek-Lo has been subsumed into Leuven while the more rural eastern part of the former municipality is now part of Bierbeek.

The Institute of Philosophy is the faculty of philosophy at the KU Leuven in the Belgian city of Leuven. It was founded in 1968 when the Institut supérieur de Philosophie - Hoger Instituut voor Wijsbegeerte of the Catholic University of Leuven (1835–1968) was split into a Dutch-speaking entity and a French-speaking entity. Its main buildings are located in the center of Leuven, Belgium at the Kardinaal Mercier Square, the founder of the original institute.

The city of Leuven in Belgium was the seat of three successive universities, each of which had a notable academic library.

Leuven is the main railway station in the Belgian city of Leuven, in Flemish Brabant. The station is operated by the national railway company NMBS and is located on railway line 36. In 2007 it was the fifth busiest station in Belgium, only preceded by the three main Brussels stations and Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station. The station recently underwent extensive and costly renovations lasting several years. The station square houses a major bus terminal as well as extensive bicycle parking and car parking. The station includes a tunnel which passes underneath the station for pedestrians as well as an overhead bridge with elevators. The station is fully accessible for wheelchairs. While a high-speed line passes through the station, Leuven is not a stop on any high-speed route. Current expansion is limited because the Leuven station has reached the maximum set of rail and platforms possible, meaning any further expansion would require building an underground segment.

The northern part of the former municipality of Haasrode (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦaːsroːdə]) is now a part of the city of Leuven, Belgium. According to the official website of Leuven, Haasrode is a part of the sub-municipality of Heverlee.In 1977, Haasrode was merged with Oud-Heverlee, Blanden, Vaalbeek and Sint-Joris-Weert to form the municipality of Oud-Heverlee. The northern part of the former municipality of Haasrode was administratively annexed to Leuven. Haasrode Research-Park is located in Leuven's Haasrode.

The Mgr. Ladeuzeplein (English: Mgr. Ladeuze Square) is the largest square in the centre of Leuven, Flemish Brabant, Belgium. The square was named after a former rector of the Catholic University of Leuven, Mgr. Paulin Ladeuze. The central library of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) is located on this square.

The Sint-Donatus Park is an urban park with a village green in Leuven, Belgium. The park is located between the Charles Deberiotstraat, the Vlamingenstraat and the Tiensestraat. The park was laid out in an English landscaping style and was redeveloped between 1993 and 1998. In the Sint-Donatuspark there are several remains of the original inner city walls from the twelfth century. Among which are a few towers..

M – Museum Leuven or simply M is an art museum in the inner city of Leuven, Belgium, which was officially opened in 2009. The museum has a collection of some 46,000 works, which range from late-Gothic paintings and sculptures to 16th century local artists such as Jan Rombouts the Elder and Josse van der Baren to 19th-century paintings and sculptures by various Flemish masters including Constantin Meunier, Jef Lambeaux and George Minne.

The Saint Quentin's Church or Sint-Kwintenskerk (in Dutch) is a Roman Catholic church located at the Naamsestraat in Leuven, Belgium. Its exterior is mainly Gothic with a Baroque entrance portal. The interior contains Baroque choir stalls and altars. The church is named after the Saint Quentin, who is regarded in the Catholic faith as a protector against a wide range of contagious diseases.

The American College of the Immaculate Conception, or the American College of Louvain, was a Roman Catholic seminary in Leuven, Belgium, which operated under the auspices of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Founded in 1857, the American College closed as a seminary in June 2011.
