Hog Island (Lincoln County, Maine)

The Cora F. Cressey was a five masted 273 feet (83 m) wooden-hulled freight schooner operating in the coasting trade along the east coast of the United States. Built in 1902, it served in that trade until 1928. After serving for a time as a floating nightclub, its hulk was towed to the Keene Narrows in Bremen, Maine, where it was scuttled to serve as a breakwater for a lobster operation. Despite its deteriorating condition, the hulk is one of the largest surviving wooden hulls in the United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Daniel Weston Homestead is a historic house on Maine State Route 32 in Bremen, Maine. Built about 1806 by a son of one of the area's first colonial settlers, it is a well-preserved local example of Federal period architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Loudville Church is a historic non-denominational church building on Louds Island, an unincorporated territory of Lincoln County, Maine that is now home to summer residences. The church was built in 1913, using materials from a schoolhouse built in 1908 on Malaga Island. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Louds Island, also once known as Muscongus Island, is an island in Muscongus Bay off the coast of Round Pond, a village of Bristol, Maine, United States. It is also an unorganized territory of Maine. It is approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) long and 1 mile (1.6 km) wide at its widest point. The island did not have a flush toilet until 2009. The 2020 Census lists Louds Island with a population of 3. It is part of the unorganized territory of Lincoln County.

The Union Church, also known locally as the Little Brown Church, is a historic church on Maine State Route 32 in Round Pond, a village of Bristol, Maine. Built in 1853, it is a distinctive local example of Carpenter Gothic architecture, and one of the few of this type of church in the entire state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Cottage on King's Row is a historic house at 1400 Main Street (Maine State Route 32) in Bristol, Maine. Built c. 1853–54, it is a high-quality and well-preserved example of Gothic Revival architecture, based on the designs of Andrew Jackson Downing. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Bremen ( BREE-mən) is a small town in Lincoln County, Maine, United States. The population was 823 at the 2020 census. Located on Muscongus Bay and the Gulf of Maine, it includes the villages of Broad Cove, Turners Corner, Bremen, Medomak and Muscongus. Hog Island is a center and camp for the Maine chapter of the National Audubon Society.

The Bremen Town House, formerly Bremen Town Hall is a historic municipal building on Maine State Route 32 in Bremen, Maine. Built in 1874 and sympathetically enlarged in 1938, it served for many years as the community's town hall, and continues to serve the community as one of its major social gathering points. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Medomak River, historically known as the Muscongus River, is a 40-mile-long (64 km) river in Maine. From its source (44°21′48″N 69°21′09″W) in Liberty, the river winds 32 miles (51 km) south to the head of its tidal river estuary in Waldoboro, then about 8 miles (13 km) south to Bremen. The river flows through Hockomock Channel into the head of Muscongus Bay. Medomak is Abenaki for "place (river) of many alewives".

Muscongus Bay is a bay on the coast of Maine, United States, between Penobscot Bay and John's Bay. Muscongus was the name of an Abenaki village meaning "fishing place" or "many [or large] rock ledges." John Smith recorded the river in 1616 as Nusconcus and was also spelled Nuscongus. The two main tributaries are the Saint George River at its eastern end and the Medomak River, which flows into the bay at Waldoboro. Historically, the Medomak River and Muscongus Bay were the dividing line between the Waldo Patent and Pemaquid Patent and Waldoboro was a customs point of entry. Muscongus Bay has many islands including Hog which is home to a National Audubon Society camp, Allen, Eastern Egg Rock, Franklin (home of Franklin Island National Wildlife Refuge), and Louds Island historically referred to as Muscongus Island prior purchase from Thomas Drowne by William Loud. Monhegan Island is offshore from Muscongus Bay. The Maine Island Trail passes through Muscongus Bay. The bay is bounded by Marshall Point Light, Pemaquid Point Light, and contains Franklin Island Light. Towns bordering Muscongus bay are Bristol, Bremen, Waldoboro, Friendship, Cushing, and St. George. The type of sailboat called the Muscongus Bay sloop is also known as the Friendship Sloop. The hull of the five-masted schooner Cora F. Cressey lies in Muscongus Bay.

The Back River is a 1.7-mile-long (2.7 km) river in Friendship, Maine, which empties into the estuary of the Medomak River.

The Goose River is a 10.6-mile-long (17.1 km) tributary of the Medomak River in the U.S. state of Maine.
